Wow, this is great news on this rainy and foggy morning here. Glad this saga is finished now and they didn't complicate things further. I guess last year was enough.

Well I am not surprised we have no more restrictions into Australia, regarding having to be vaccinated against COVID, also we have a new government in as well.

I’m glad he’s going to Australia, though I’m surprised they overlooked his BS from earlier this year. It’s probably politically expedient for them to put covid in the rear mirror now, given how draconian their laws were. I just wonder how he’ll be received by fans there…

Time to get ready for battle.

Oh well Craig Tiley will be over joyed with the news:)
BTW a lot of people are not happy that his ban has been overturned and it will be interesting to see how people react to him at the AO.Even some of the tennis journalists were surprised his 3 year ban was overturned.

They've already been embarrassed long enough IMO! They looked like jackarses and won't be able to live it down I'm sure! Heaven help them! :face-with-hand-over-mouth:
Australia do not look like jackarses at all, we had COVID restrictions just like you had in the USA when Novak was not allowed to play at the USO., are the USA also jackarses and need help? lol! We are not in help at all.Thank you very much. It was Novak's decision not to get the COVID vaccine,.It is obvious you dont not know the full facts or you just chose to ignore them.

Great news. The US lifted their bans in September,, so he’ll be able to play a full schedule.

He's going to terrorize the tour like he did a few years ago; win all the early tournaments to show them who's boss! I can see an AO followed by 2 Masters wins already! I've been spoiled by his excellence! It shouldn't happen! Alcaraz joining the frey might change things, but we'll see! :thinking-face: :astonished-face:

It's hard not to think that the decision will be unpopular, since the consensus last January was about special treatment. He'll probably have to deal with some unpopular sentiment, initially. But as it just turns back into the tennis, he'll probably be fine.

People look to acquire status so the rules are bent a little to accomodate them! Why surprised? Fed's gotten away w/ murder I'm sure! :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :face-with-tears-of-joy:

I think it's politically expedient to stop fight with Djokovic and get it all off of the radar. But I am surprised that you can falsify your immigration application and still have it all be swept away like nothing. Do you think the rest of us would get away with that? Not in a heartbeat. As I said to @MargaretMcAleer above, I don't think the crowds will be especially forgiving, initially, but memories are short, and everyone wants to just drink a beer and watch tennis.
