There's a whole thread here where it was discussed ad nauseum.I looked at USO draw and saw no Joker. Just wondering if he took responsibility of sending his withdraw or did organizers have to draw the line and say "Novax - No play"?

Of course, it’s meant to be inflammatory, it’s an opinion piece. But yeah, a lot of Djokolytes have that mentality, that the whole world and its sister conspired to gang up on the poor innocent and beat him up. If Rafa wins the USO there’ll be mass hysteria and rending of garments. Oh wouldn’t it be loverly!I don't mind if the author of that piece wants to opine over US immigration policy towards non-resident aliens, in terms of vaccine mandate, but I think he does use Novak's situation as a pawn in the argument, in a way that I feel is inflammatory, opportunistic and cynically misleading. In the very second sentence, he says that ND was "not allowed to play" the USO. This is not accurate. Djokovic was not allowed to enter the US, due to current policy, and therefore not ABLE to play the USO. The tournament would have been happy to have him. And I'm sure the US government doesn't care one way or the other.
Novak Fans on Twitter are now having a go at Rafa because of his comments, 'noone is bigger than the sport of tennis' which I have been saying since day 1, they really are running out of people to blame because Novak can't play at the USO this year, their comments gave me a good laugh anyway
Novax fans constantly crying on twitter, they now want the slam race cancelled
Novax has missed 3 slams his whole career, Rafa has missed 13 there wouldn't even be a "slam race" if Rafa had less injuries. They cry about AO 22 but are silent about RG 16
If the Novak fans on twitter think Rafa's AO 22 victory shouldn't count because Novax was not in the draw due to his freedom of choice. Then what makes RG 16 any different? Rafa the favorite withdrew in the early rounds due to injury. They can't have it both ways! Plus if they are going to say AO 22 shouldn't count they are just asking for RG 16 to be mentioned... As for Rafa's 16 clay season, MC = Won, Barca = Won, Madrid = SF, Rome = Final, so it's not like he had a poor clay season Sure Rafa was not guaranteed to win RG if he didn't get injured, but neither was Novak guaranteed to win AO this year.... These twitter fans can't pick and choose which slam win should or shouldn't countCall me confused! Conflation is prevalent these days I guess! Why would FO '16 be any different than FO '15? Rafa was still out "in the wilderness" with his play dropping matches to players outside the top 50-100 in 250 events! Novak had his down period a couple years later so Rafa had a pass and only needed to defeat an old man in Roger! Unfortunately he had a 5-6 match run of bad luck dropping matches he had leads in to Federer! We can go round this circle as many times as you like babe!
speak for the herd, well said. The whole Novak Djovokic and his vaccines has been talked to death. The guy has obviously made his decision not to get the vaccine for whatever reason he has and now he has to deal with the decisions on the countries that decide to not let him in because he is not vaccinated.
As for the Slams they go on as planned with or without whoever plays in them. If Novak isn't able to play in a Slam it is because of a decision he made. If Rafa is unable to play in a Slam, it is because of something he determines he is unable to play. The Slam still goes on. I mean there could be a Slam where Rafa, Novak, Federer, Medvedev, Zverev, Alcaraz, Tsitipas are all out for some reason. That don't mean they cancel the Slam. It just means more opportunity for some other player.
The difference is Novak wasn't allowed to play while Rafa was, he chose to pack up....so no benefit of doubt for Rafa.If the Novak fans on twitter think Rafa's AO 22 victory shouldn't count because Novax was not in the draw due to his freedom of choice. good on him for not criticising Novak, who stands by his principle.

I'm just a kid and they all say I should listen to all these adults scream and yell about this stuff but really it all seems like common sense to me. Ya know Novak for some reason doesn't want to get the vaccine. That is his decision. It wouldn't be my decision or really my parents decision because they had a lot of say in the matter when I got my vaccines, but that is beside the point. You make a decision whatever it is and you deal with it. No need to scream and yell about it.speak for the herd, well said.
It was Novak's personal decision not to get vaccinated, he has to abide and understand that some countries today have strict protocols regarding being vaccinated, and also his fans have to understand as well. What Novak and his fans are going through is not even 1% of what Monica Seles has gone through. What a bunch of crybabies. It"s literally Djokovic's choice and he could easily play just like the rest of the players if he had a few more brain cells that would choose science over energy pyramids.
Also Novak has played in 3 more slams than Nadal despite Novak being 1 year younger (worth 4 slams). That's a total of 7 more slams played if compared age for age. Now THAT is unfair.
Novak was allowed to play though if he took the vaccine, the AO tournament themselves didn't ban him, it's not WimbledonThe difference is Novak wasn't allowed to play while Rafa was, he chose to pack up....so no benefit of doubt for Rafa.
When you see hundreds of doctors petition, and without any benefit to themselves (in fact being disbarred), you know there is something….and it is common sense. I hope your parents can wise up and see why that is. All those doctors didn’t do it for self-interest, because there is none.I'm just a kid and they all say I should listen to all these adults scream and yell about this stuff but really it all seems like common sense to me. You also see thousands and thousands of doctors(way more than the hundreds of doctors who are against the vaccine) who are all for the vaccine and advocate everyone and kids getting it. I would also appreciate you keeping your opinion about my parents and the decision that they have made for me out of this. That really is none of your business. When you see hundreds of doctors petition, and without any benefit to themselves (in fact being disbarred), you know there is something….and it is common sense. You disbar lawyers, not doctors. They lose their licenses. You don't help your own case for "common sense."When you see hundreds of doctors petition, and without any benefit to themselves (in fact being disbarred), you know there is something….and it is common sense.
