Policies change. Novak knows the rules, and he knows what it will take him to play in the US. He has known this since IW. As Margaret says, stop playing the victim card. At least Novak, to his credit, accepts the consequences of his decisions. His fans, like you, do not. Get over it.

I personally don't care! Novak's accomplished a ton already! Knocking him out for the 2nd time over some BS will make them look as clownish as the Aussies! I think they'll have to live w/ that shameful Int'l performance for a very long time! Someone in authority told him to come "down under!"

Because they don't. They are conforming to US immigration policy. Try to hold a couple of things straight in your head at the same time. I really do suggest you read the Wertheim post above. It will give you both clarity and calm.

Nadal has missed 3 of the last 5 slams due to injury that's bad luck. Djokovic has missed 1 of the last 10? Because of a personal choice, yet his fans make out he is extremely hard done by

I'm quoting your post again now. I think it's a great point, and also it seems some Djokovic fans need to hear it again. Missing Majors due to injury is bad luck. Missing them due to personal volition is not something anyone can moan about. Djokovic has long known that getting vaccinated was the cost of entry. His choice.

Federer fans probably think it isn't worth watching tennis w/o him! It's looked empty at both IW's & Miami when Novak couldn't play after winning so many titles! The only thing entertaining was watching Rafa struggle & miss out on winning Miami one more time! So close. but yet so far!

They would have to want clarity and calm. Presently most of his fans don't want either of those things, instead they just want to whine incessantly because of the choice he made and blame governments for not easing up on restrictions.

Let's face the facts: if Nads shows up in NY or Aus ready to play, he's likely to hold the hw on the last day. There's just not many players in the field better than him in BO5. I'm sure the lot of them are dreading the next 2 slams waiting to see if the Bull is healthy enough to play.

Novax is not accepting the consequences of his decisions though. Look at his social media post the other week. He is preparing as if he will be allowed to play USO while waiting to see if there is any room to travel. Fingers crossed. That is not the words of someone who accepts HIS decision to not get the vaccine....

He stirs his fans up with bs like that on social media, some of his fans really are too obsessed & defensive. There lives are just eat sleep dream Novax 24/7. Unable to criticise anything he does wrong. These fans are like puppets he is controlling them. They think constantly sucking up to him on social media he will one day like one of these posts & follow them etc. But the reality is he couldn't give a £&$# about anyone or his fans. Look at how he happily spread Covid to his fans, friends and even family disgraceful behaviour while infected with Covid both times... Some of the things his fans write on twitter is just ridiculous it's almost hard to tell if some are legit fan accounts or parody trolls. Unfortunately the more you read the more you see they are legit fan accounts.

I will end the post on a negative note, unfortunately almost 6.5 million people have died from Covid worldwide. Yet a healthy 35 year old, 21 time grand slam winning multi millionaire is being made to look like a victim.... It's pathetic, him & some of his fans should be ashamed & need to get a reality check he is anything but a victim!!

hmmmm actually not getting vaxed is not doing 'wrong'. There is a reason doctors have petitioned for publication of side effects, at the risk of losing their jobs. The governments have marketed the vaccine this and that, only to be found that it isn't really all they claimed to be. Novak and many others saw it coming and decided not to join the herd, I don't see anything wrong with that.

Just months after AO, the Aussies have changed policy and welcome all comers vaxed or unvaxed. While I have no time for whatever bureaucratic justification, it's beyond doubt that it was political. The ties with big US pharmas and government are so obvious.....and Novak is the targeted one that needs to be made an example of. The big boys don't want Novax around as he is a liability to their business interest, simple as that.
