He lost a good chunk of the mental edge he had coming into AO22.

His net game is terrible. Soft hands are underrated in tennis, but Daniil doesn't have it at all. Just shoveling the balls. He needs to practice "small tennis" played inside the service courts only. He might find he is losing plenty of points there due to poor choices.

Maybe suggest "Pickleball" the next time you see him! Update: Great minds think alike! It was already suggested! Oh well!

My question becomes why isn’t Taylor the leader of his group and Ruud the runner-up? I am sure I should know this, but looking at the numbers on the surface it seems like it should be Taylor leading the group and Ruud in position 2. I guess it has to be some form of golf rules lol.

I want Ruud to win this title, but it seems like he should be facing Djokovic not Fritz.

It goes to show how aberrant things have been the last year, particularly with Novak not playing so many big tournaments which allowed Medvedev to rise to No. 1 in the first place.

Agree, also Meddy could not play Wimbledon, though game wise and mentality wise Meddy has not being the same player to me and others since the AO this year, that loss I feel he never really got over, it was also apparent at Turin.
