I am not surprised 'he who has the best hair in tennis' won against The Young Greek, for starters these courts suits his game, also I read the stats on the match his serve 'was on song'.....well done!....I will rewatch the match later as I just got home from work.

Daniil is in tremendous form and a bad matchup for Alex.
It looks so easy as he defeats him.

be cool if sinner plays..

berry can't be serious claiming he is waiting for scans to see if he plays.
surely too risky,

3rd set Med vs Zed, this became a real match!
That foot fault call was unfortunate, but it was early enough in the TB that Medvedev shouldn't have let it bother him so much. I thought he looked to be cruising in straights.

Wow, after a really messy, weird-choice filled TB by Meddie, he wins it, anyway. I'm glad to see him win, but his coach is going to have some notes for him at dinner. I can see why this is a rather tense match-up. Medvedev has sort of usurped what I think Zverev was going to be his position next in the tennis hierarchy. (Rightly or wrongly, and through his own fault, but I think he must feel so.)

Sounds like a really good match. I’ll have to watch the Tennis Channel‘s replay later today.

Sinner will replace Matteo in the evening match.A repeat of the Miami final against Hurkacz, hopefully this time he can turn the tables.Matteo forced to withdraw from the tournament with ab injury.
Will have to watch a repeat of Meddy v Sasha match, well done Meddy as Sasha's game bores me to tears :)

With today's win,Daniil Medvedev secures year end ATP No 2 rank becoming third Russian player to finish the season as World No 2 (Kafelnikov 1999,Safin 2000).....( great time scheduling Sinner v Hubi match has started as well as the semi finals in Mexico with the woman..).

the kong of sin with early breajk..
thinking sinner is youngest to play at wtf since 2000 maybe when hewitt was 19yrs 9m old.

sinner born in august and 20 is 3m younger than djoko was on nov2007. and nadal in 2006..
nadal did qualify of course in 2005 but w/d with injury.

That’s a shame for Matteo and the Italian crowd, but I’m sure he’s doing what’s best for his body. But it shows again why alternates are needed.
Except Jannik is Italian, just from the German-speaking region in the north.

Cosi orgogliosa di te Jannik! 62 62 over Hubi!
Anch'io! I had to miss, but suspected Jannick would do it. When we were talking about Ruud and HH being a little out of place, above, I was thinking it was a shame Sinner didn't make the cut, because he would have seemed more "right" to make it in. Points are points, but by the "eye test."
