Olé olé olé olé... I see the mighty Spanish Bull battled back from match point down to beat the Russian again. Wow! Rafa need only win one more match (I think) and he ends the year number one regardless of what Novak does. How about that!

He saved a match point? Nice!

No Cali..not this Time..The game of tennis is defined by one’s ability to extends the points.. not all about what should’ve happened..Listen to Paul Annacone, he is saying exactly what I am saying.

Lol.....Paul Annacone. Are you f-ing serious? The guy who helped lead Federer to a 3-7 record against Nadal (1-7 outside of WTF where Nadal's game sucks) and waste numerous opportunities at Slams?

Paul Annacone is a bland tool who is responsible for one of the worst Slam stretches in Fed's career and Fed wasting huge opportunities (I actually agree with Darth on this).....Ljubicic has a much tougher mindset and is a far better coach for Federer to have. Annacone is a weak-minded pansy and it is no coincidence that Federer kept losing to Nadal while Annacone was his coach.

Annacone is a good fanboy for Nadal (and frankly whoever is winning at a particular moment in time). That is exactly what he is made for. He is one of the weakest-minded coaches I have ever heard, in any sport.

Hiring Annacone was maybe the worst decision of Federer's career.....it cost him a few Slams.

And suddenly after Nadal wins this almost lost match, your life gives you room to shoot post after post. What a coincidence.

I watched the match until 6-7, 2-0 then I had to leave for an appointment. I was able to check the score later and saw that he was about to lose. I didn’t bother to check again but then to my big surprise I learned that he actually won.

I posted at the end of the Zverev match too so there’s no coincidence it’s all in your mind. I would have posted win or lose. When i get home I will watch the highlights and think about your tears. :smooch:

if I recall it correctly, Paul tried to get Roger to switch to a larger frame head (Wilson) racket face but he wasn't successful. I give you credit Lubicy he has had a very positive effect on Roger's game . However, Paul did have success with Sampras and Federer..he knows his tennis..

I'm not saying he doesn't know the game.....what I question is his competitive mindset and his in-the-box thinking. No matter how you slice it Federer's record with Annacone was terrible. Fed had the worst stretch of his career against Nadal by far with Annacone as his coach (0-4 in 2013) including these doozies:

6-4, 6-2 loss to Nadal at 2013 Indian Wells
6-1, 6-3 loss to Nadal at 2013 Rome
5-7, 6-4, 6-3 loss to Nadal at 2013 Cincinatti

Fed even lost to Nadal at Cincinatti with Annacone as his coach!!!!! Yes, Cincinatti!!!

That is how bad a coach Annacone was for Federer.

He couldn't even get Federer to beat Nadal on by far Fed's best court after Wimbledon on the entire tour (aside from Dubai and Basel which aren't Masters events).

you was saying nadal to lose lol? are you never right let me know also nadal going to win his next match as well.

Easy to be cocky now, numbnuts. I bet you and your bff here were dead confident when he was 5-1 and MP down. Just be happy he won and quit being a retard. I know it's difficult since it comes naturally.

Fronty .to be honest..I had conceded the match..I was calm.its been a long year and I was resigned to the fact that Rafa's game was ready to compete for towards the semi's..Then he started playing better and Danill began to make errors..When it got to 4-5 I was like it would be a shame if he wasn't able to complete the match with a victory. Front, come on you had to have some feelings towards Rafa's competitive spirit.

If someone has to built the perfect Tennis player, he has to take the competetive spirit from Nadal. No doubt about that.

But not for example his BH or Serve;)

I would take Rafa’s CC BH over anyone’s when it’s on laser guidance..Not that Chris Fowler knows anything about the real game of tennis but he made the comment this year that I made numerous times over the past 7 years.. it’s the one shot that can pull racket out of both Roger’s and Novak’s fh.

I never said I didn't admire his competitive spirit and good on him but let's all be honest here, 99% of the time when a player leads by 5-1 in a set and loses it's more a case of the guy who was leading massively choking than the other guy going into supposed god mode. He embarrasses the Nadal fans with his stupid posts.

Sometimes, but obviously Fedovic have gotten their collective acts together & have been "handling" the BULL the last few yrs!

The game is to built the perfect player, you can choose whatever you want: And you will choose his BH or parts of it??? Come on , that isn’t even funny.

agreed..both have derailed Rafa from dominating the H2H.. I really think they have both decided to quit getting into those ridiculous long rallies with him although Novak’s bh really keeps Rafa tied to the baseline just a bit more than Roger’s..my point is the cc bh is the equalizer but at times Rafa looses confidence in it as evidenced at SW19 vs federer and AO 19 vs Novak.
