49ers got robbed twice today, someone's got paid in Vegas

If someone got paid it wasn't me. If Indy wins by 4 or more tomorrow as I strongly suspect, that means your pack of scrubs cost me almost $1,000. I've been waiting for a dream parlay all year:

New England over Denver straight up
The slam dunk SF over Rams
Indy covering 3.5 vs. crippled Giants.

Don't worry, Indy will lose tomorrow so that you don't have to be mad at AP.;)

They better!

Nah, AP has suffered enough. Regardless of what happened at the end he will agree that it should never have to come down to a last second play to beat the Rams at home. That one might bite them hard in the end and cost them a playoff spot. 4-4 with their remaining schedule is cause for panic and that might be just what they need.

Broncos wasn't really an upset pick, but people fall in love really quickly with the Broncos. Despite what happened today they are still probably the best team in the NFL but a road game is tough and playing a red hot Patriots team on the road was edge New England all the way.

Well it was for me, but then I don't know a lot so it is understandable. Maybe the Broncos just had one bad day, but that was pathetic. I really don't like Patriots anyway so that was another reason to pick against them.:snigger

You could have been a real gentleman and stress how silly my pick was.;)

Agreed and totally spot on Darth, the 49ers season is Over. Please reference my posts from a month ago what I said of the coaching staff especially the offensive coordinator Greg Roman, just horrific play calling! (btw.. Kolin says that he knows he crossed the goal line before he fumbled.. this crap always happens to this team). This coaching staff is cursed!,Damn it :devil

I am sorry about your team AP. I wasn't watching that game (and I probably wouldn't even understand it anyway). It's been a rough fall for your favourites.:(

Did Steelers just mishandle that kick for extra point after the TD and then fortunately scored two points instead? Darn, I have to learn the rules.

It wasn't a silly pick by any means. Denver was the bookies favorite to win as most people consider them the best team in the league. The thing is, even the best team in the league usually still has road games that they probably are/should be underdogs.

Picking New England is also based on history, Belichick's defenses have caused Manning more trouble than any other and there is a reason AP calls them the Evil Empire. The Pats refuse to go away. They are the NFL's version of the Spurs, spitting image just a different sport, but I hate New England and like the Spurs. I've been waiting for their demise for many years...clearly still waiting.

Seems Cali might be right about his Steelers and their rookie wideout. Pitt is on fire these past few weeks...all at home though. I'd still wait to see how they fare on the road now to see if they are a true contender.

Thanks for the explanations, Darth. I try to look up this season's stats for teams I am picking, but that doesn't include the history and I just don't have time to spend on it.:) I really need to obtain the help of somebody who is really into football and doesn't play here with us.;)

I was thinking about Cali and his guy as well, I recognized his strange first name and I remembered that he had the same last name as black mamba. Steelers are good here at home, I watched their game a couple of weeks ago and I was impressed.

They are averaging 41.3 points per game since he was activated. He has 5 touchdowns in 3 games, and he has only been playing a little under 40% of the snaps.

Just wait until he is playing around 70% of the snaps and is being used in the 2-minute offense. He hasn't even been incorporated in the 2-minute drill yet.

What Martavis is doing is showing just how foolish it was of the Steelers to let Plaxico Burress go to the Giants in 2005. Roethlisberger and Burress would have set records together. And don't even get me started on all the receivers the Steelers have passed on in the drafts of recent years. It makes me sick just thinking about it. Roethlisberger could have been doing this the last 5 years with the same caliber of receivers the rest of the NFL teams have.

Thanks AP, I am not really upset or concerned with my picks, I just like to go on and on about something.:snigger

Thanks Nehmeth for the information, that is too bad about Foles, I really like him. Hopefully he will be back as soon as possible. Can Sanchez keep the Eagles on the same pace as Nick did?:puzzled

Billie, Here is a stat for you and an "expert" anaylsis, If the Patriots are playing against an AFC team in Foxboro, Bet the house or go all in , the Patriots have won 34 in a row. That's astounding!!

I will answer this for our good friend Nehmeth...NO! Sanchez is garbage and the Eagles season likely ended yesterday.

Had no idea about that stat myself. From memory I'm thinking their last 2 home losses were to your 49ers and the Giants (call them the ultimate thorn to Belichick and his death star). They had a big home win streak before the 2011 Giants game so that 34 game streak makes sense. It would be regular season only since the Jets took them out in glorious fashion in the 2010 playoffs. That streak is nuts.

Well Sanchez played most of yesterday and they got a win. I think they are playing Panthers next (I think that is what I saw on TV), I said I would think twice before picking them again....so most likely Eagles it will be, even without Foles.

Wow my pick tonight just scored a goal, finally:laydownlaughing I was thinking that Giants had a bye last week and they would be all ready. :cover
