Lovie wouldn't save that defense. Chicago has an atrocious defense and a very talented offense headed by a turnover prone qb. It was always going to be a 9-7 squad at best.

U make a very good point

No way the defense would be this bad under Lovie. I know he couldn't save all the players, but come on, the ones he did have would be playing under his proven system and not Tressman's.

Love how they are touting Romo as a hero for coming back in that game. It's actually pretty selfish to insist on coming in banged up when the Cowboys backup had played much better than Romo when he was in the game.

Good point too. They probably would do better with Lovie but I don't think it'd be significant. No talent on defense, tons on offense but they will often lose the TO battle with Cutler. I'm sure Tress will be gone if the Bears are 8-8 or worse and the Bears can't realistically cut Jay for another couple years.

I agree..Lovie wasnt going to take this team to a 12-4 or 11-5 record.. I think Lovie for years was beneficiary of Superman Damon Hester and Urlacher .. However. he would atleast have the defense playing competitively because the team played hard for him.. There is nothing that can be done to save Jay Cutler but Good Bye

I will be interested to see if they start drafting QB's the next couple of years. Regardless of how good or bad Jay can be he is 31 so it's not a bad time to draft one.

If Jerry would have kept his ole ass in the press his luxury suite, Jason would have stayed with the more mobile Brandon Weeden instead of the injured Romo. I am not gonna blame Tony for this one but meddling Jerry. but its his team he can screw this up how he likes..:laydownlaughing

I'll take 11-4 no problem:D

Anyway I bet you are glad I didn't start picking from the beginning as my beginner's luck will run out any time soon.:snigger

I have to look at the match ups for next week, hopefully I can make my picks soon, AP:cool:

Yes it is always good to check my numbers. Thanks for catching it KS, you truly are owning me in everything I do/type right now :cry

Part of the problem has been counting the mega upsets 5-6 times over. I know right away that I incorrectly gave Billie the 12th win on the Dallas game last night. It's like my mind/eyes don't believe some of the losses.

Onto week 9:

Saints @ Panthers (Thursday) - Tough to pick, truly the Saints aren't that good period this year and they suck on the road. Yet Carolina is also bad. I will pick New Orleans

Bucs @ Browns - Browns
Cards @ Cowboys - Tough one to pick again, slight edge to Dallas and will take them.
Eagles @ Texans - Tough again, going to take Houston
Jets @ Chiefs - Slam dunk just like Dallas over Washington :) Will still pick KC here
Jags @ Bengals - Cincy
Chargers @ Dolphins - Dolphins
Redskins @ Vikings - Washington
Rams @ 49ers - San Fran
Broncos @ Pats - Well here it is. Hope Denver routs them but New England is back to their usual ways. I think New England steals another one.

Raiders @ Seahawks - Seahawks
Ravens @ Steelers - Pitt is on a bit of a roll and HFA gives them the slightest edge here. Going with Pitt

Colts @ Giants - Colts. Giants are still too banged up on offense.
