Well it was for me, but then I don't know a lot so it is understandable. Maybe the Broncos just had one bad day, but that was pathetic. I really don't like Patriots anyway so that was another reason to pick against them.:snigger

You could have been a real gentleman and stress how silly my pick was.;)

It wasn't a silly pick by any means. Denver was the bookies favorite to win as most people consider them the best team in the league. The thing is, even the best team in the league usually still has road games that they probably are/should be underdogs.

Picking New England is also based on history, Belichick's defenses have caused Manning more trouble than any other and there is a reason AP calls them the Evil Empire. The Pats refuse to go away. They are the NFL's version of the Spurs, spitting image just a different sport, but I hate New England and like the Spurs. I've been waiting for their demise for many years...clearly still waiting.

Billie, Here is a stat for you and an "expert" anaylsis, If the Patriots are playing against an AFC team in Foxboro, Bet the house or go all in , the Patriots have won 34 in a row. That's astounding!!

Had no idea about that stat myself. From memory I'm thinking their last 2 home losses were to your 49ers and the Giants (call them the ultimate thorn to Belichick and his death star). They had a big home win streak before the 2011 Giants game so that 34 game streak makes sense. It would be regular season only since the Jets took them out in glorious fashion in the 2010 playoffs. That streak is nuts.

While I wasn't sure of the exact numbers, I know it's virtually improbable to beat Brady in FoxB, aside from the instances you mention above. I even reference that in my picks the last few weeks. There was not a chance the Bears were getting it done. I believe it was last year, but Peyton had a really good chance to defeat Brady in FoxB and was actually leading for a large portion of that game only to see Brady march down the field time after time in the 2nd half to defeat the Broncos.

^ Broncos were up 24-0 right out of the gates but couldn't hold on, turnovers did them in. Pats are tough at home but they still have some tough games coming up, and if they are on the road in the playoffs they probably won't get it done...hopefully not anyways.

You're learning well! There is a method to the madness in the NFL, the sure fire losses that only backfire once in a San Francisco blue moon.

Thanks AP, I am not really upset or concerned with my picks, I just like to go on and on about something.:snigger

Thanks Nehmeth for the information, that is too bad about Foles, I really like him. Hopefully he will be back as soon as possible. Can Sanchez keep the Eagles on the same pace as Nick did?:puzzled

I will answer this for our good friend Nehmeth...NO! Sanchez is garbage and the Eagles season likely ended yesterday.

I am not a fan of Sanchez either. Seems though that Coach Kelly is pretty positive about him.

Foles has been getting hammered with much of the Eagles front line battling to become/remain healthy. He has a cracked collarbone which isn't a season ending injury. We'll see how soon he is well enough to return. In the meantime, hopefully Sanchez can keep us in the hunt. :-/

Foles injury is most likely season ending because its probably gonna take 2 months or more to heal. If his injury is as servere as Aaron Rogers, Arod missed about 8 games last year.

^ Yep, it is the same injury A-Rod had. Rodgers got it during week 8 and only played the last week of the season because it was virtually a playoff game against the Bears to decide the division. He was probably rushed back before he should've been. They also said 4-6 weeks for Rodgers but that's typical NFL injury talk, a bad injury will almost always be longer than those best case estimates.

Billie is at 81-52
Nehmeth is at 80-53 (Seems like you're doing better, I know you started late but I should check to see if I screwed up somewhere)

Browns @ Bengals (Thursday) - Cincy is tough at home, Cleveland is improved but won't win this. Cincy

Chiefs @ Bills - Tough one to call but going with Chiefs
Dolphins @ Lions - I assume the Tron will be back, going with Detroit in a close one.
Cowboys @ Jags - Cowboys
49ers @ Saints - Probably the game of the week. Both with 4 losses but it is San Fran who needs a win a lot worse than New Orleans due to their division. I think Saints win though

Titans @ Ravens - Ravens
Steelers @ Jets - Steelers
Falcons @ Bucs - Tough to call because both are terrible, I say Bucs get their 2nd win
Broncos @ Raiders - Good way to rebound for Denver.
Rams @ Cards - Rams have pulled off their 2 huge upsets of the season, don't think they will this time. Arizona to go 8-1

Giants @ Seahawks - Seattle
Bears @ Packers - It's rare I have a bad feeling about a Bears game but given that their season is absolutely on the line this becomes a more difficult game. I also assume Rodgers will be fine, if that hamstring is a bigger deal than there is a big problem. I think GB will win still

Panthers @ Eagles - Nice first game without Foles, I think the Eagles win but wouldn't be shocked if they don't. Sanchez is worse than a Helen of Troy.

AP still hasn't learned anything this season. :nono Broncos @ Raiders a bye week? We've seen a QBless Rams teams defeat 2 good teams. The Bucs come from behind to beat a SB team on the road. If we've learned anything this year it's that we really don't know anything.

Welcome to the NFL pick'em challenge Fiero. I was wondering about that game (Falcons vs Bucs). I know that Bucs are bad, but I don't remember ever watching Falcons (or maybe they were just not memorable to me:snigger ) therefore I didn't have any vibe about that one, so I went with the home team.:)

There should be a question with the London game it seems! Tony Romo of The Cowboys doesn't look well; back issues! Why they flew him over there instead of resting with a "BYE" week still makes the experts shake their heads! You would think they'd "run the ball," but this team is owned by a bonehead! Jacksonville Jags are an awful team, but panic has set in after 2 straight losses in Dallas! They're going to send Romo out there and he's going to get blitzed to death; just like last week! The b/up will make it interesting, but looks as if there's a possibility that the "so called" best team in the NFL is sliding fast! :laydownlaughing :lolz: :nono
