My cousins just flew up to an NFL game in the States.

Actually a lot of Niner fans demographically are from the San Jose/Santa Clara area and so are many of Raidernation. As Darth mentioned 2 poorly performing teams on a week night, add that the Raiders also are “lame duck” as far as a local team, and that Chucky has thrown away this year in order to rebuild the Raiders in his image 2 or 3 years down.

One of the most insane aspects of moving the Niners to SC was that most of the parking lots ( don’t get me started on the congestion issues) don’t permit tailgating before a game.

Yup you read that right.

More than any other major sport, the NFL ( and college) football experience thrives on the fans tailgating bashes.

Yeah, I've been over to see the Raiders at the Coliseum and met up with some Raider fans from a forum for the tailgating experience. Had a great time. Quite a few ex-players like Lincoln Kennedy were wandering around and catching up with the fans.
