I wonder if the Coronavirus might put RG in jeopardy... If things don’t get better I think they might be inclined to cancel events with big crowds.

In the end, the canceling of a few tennis tournaments doesn't matter a hill of beans. But it's our own small measure of the crisis. Stay well and safe, indeed.

Rafa Nadal announced that he is shutting down his academy in Mallorca to help slow down the spread of the Coronavirus.Nadal said the kids there will be looked after and to prevent infection,no one will be permitted to enter the academy from the outside.

I've never seen this one before. 2003 Aix-en-Provence challenger final. 16-year-old Rafa v. Mariano Puerta (who would have been +/- 24). Remember that they met in the final of RG in 2005. (BTW, I don't understand why they use ESP/ARG instead of their names, as if it were Davis Cup.)

This is cute. Rafa cooking for Mery in quarantine, and sporting what passes for a beard. Watch the little video.

Sorry I dont think the beard suits Rafa at all, when tennis resumes I am certain he will shave it off.

He's like most guys. Give him half an excuse not to shave, and he'll take it. Fair enough. But for sure we won't see it when tennis resumes. (But speaking of beards, I could really do without Benoit Paire's hipster one.)

Not very 'tres chic' at all.

Rafa is perfect whether he shaves or not. His beauty is beyond comprehension. Let’s just say that when God created Nadal he took extra time!

Nadal has a deep notion of self-deprecation. You don't seem to understand that.
