Entertainment? Is that what you call it. Fair enough! Maybe for you. I clearly have a lot of knowledge of tennis and have made a small fortune gambling on matches, which clearly I wouldn't have if I knew nothing about it like you foolishly claim. You keep going on and on about me "crying about the surfaces" when I hardly say anything about them lol. There are tons of people in the tennis community, however, who would all agree having the courts pretty much all playing the same sucks. I also said nothing negative about Nadal at here and merely stated that he was better on clay in 2008 and 2010. You clearly have major issues that you can't withstand even factual posts about Nadal. No he isn't as fast as he was, no he doesn't have the same explosiveness and his forehand makes a lot more errors. As I already said, his backhand is indeed much better this year but that's about it. He's serving quite well by his standards lately but, again, 2010 was his best year in terms of serving at the USO. Saying he used to be better is not a negative comment towards him. You're just way too sensitive to anything that doesn't read "I love Nadal". Like Federer, he's still playing very high level/elite tennis but they're both past their primes and not as good as they were. That is factual information and isn't negative, merely the truth.

You're also posting just as much "hate" about Federer and trying to make out to all the people here that I'm different from you in that respect which we can all see is total bs. Again, my post in this thread was merely to state the obvious, that Nadal is NOT better in any respect in 2017 except his backhand and yet you felt the need to spout some garbage post to your new cyber friend TennisFan101 that I hate Nadal. So? That doesn't mean I can't be objective and make valid and accurate posts on his current level, which IS NOT his best ever on clay by any margin. He was great in the final, yes, but he's played much higher level on clay as I correctly stated in both 2008 and 2010 and I cited the Monte Carlo 2010 final against Verdasco as the best I've ever seen him play on clay. Verdasco won just 1 game. but hey, feel free to keep telling yourself and your new friend that I know nothing about tennis.
With that post you have told me everything starting to make a small fortune gambling on matches......
I'm not Roger's fan at all but I don't hate him because I don't have any reason to do it but I can't stand some of his fans and neither their hate to Nadal which I can't understand such bitterness of some of you. So if you don't like to read anything negative about your idol then try to be more kind with Nadal because if you don't like some things of him you have to know that Roger is not perfect so I can do the same, so who seems to be more sensitive? get it?
And about how Rafa is playing now and before.....now try to be honest, do you really think that Roger has played this last Wimbledon better than ever? really? think about it .....

And posting something more pleasant....
I've read that Rafa today has practiced with Dimitrov very well and not sign of some discomfort of his knee

Yes they did. You're mixing up the forums with the Livewyre commenting system which was a load of shit and not a forum, something Tennis.com introduced to replace the original forums. The forums were finished being functional around late 2012 and Tennis.com removed the link from their website early 2013 because they were technically broken.
the tennis.com forum was sentenced to death when MikeOne contacted the crew, it was dead by 2007.... I know it was in a way the right thing to do but pistola would have gotten tired of spamming those threads and would have returned to normal posting.... ofc that's not how a normal forum should work and i see why MO did what he did but the forum was never normal and would have survived another :shitstorm:

What i've always been curious about is whether really someone from higher up ordered the banning of Cracky, cause that's what the admin said, or she just made that stuff up to avoid further whining why she banned him... TBH i think it highly unlikely that someone from tennis magazine who didn't give a shit about the forum for years started watching it closely and singled out Cracky as someone who had to go :p

I'll be interested as to what @El Dude has to say about that. But Roger abdicated an entire part of the season, skipping clay, so what does that say about specialization?

Roger may or may not still be a force at Wimbledon next year so the thinking was probably this is my last real shot but hopefully not and quite possibly not. But he'll be almost 37 by next Wimbledon so it would be quite insane if he won again. That said, I expect this to be possibly the norm now and he may well skip RG again next year if he legitimately feels he may win Wimbledon again by doing so. Can't fault that strategy to be honest. They're both obviously hoping to capitalize on the best part of the season for each, but in Roger's case, he's still winning a lot of hard court stuff too, more so than grass, in fact. That's why he's not just a grass specialist and I'm not btw calling Nadal a clay specialist, just saying Roger couldn't be classed as a grass specialist when he wins more on hard court.

Carol, when did I ever say Roger played this last Wimbledon better than ever? The answer is never. Mostly 'cos he didn't need to and the same goes for Nadal. They're both still the best in the business on their favourite surfaces. It was actually a really boring Wimbledon imo for Federer fans but he still won so both he and his fans are happy. It was a lackluster win for him too no doubt but likewise he'll take it. Again when did I say anything negative in this thread about Nadal? I said he wasn't as good as before and gave all the reasons and also said his backhand is actually better this year (same as Federer's) but is still great and yet you STILL have to moan. Why? It's tiring for everyone to read...

Neither Federer OR Nadal are better than ever but they're still great. That was the whole point of my post and there really shouldn't be any need for you to moan about that when it's true. You also failed to understand my point about gambling on tennis (which I no longer do) was that to win a lot on any sport you have to follow it and know a lot about it. So telling me and other posters here I know nothing about tennis just made you look really dumb there.

You can say whatever you like, you are not changing my mind as more you try. And talking about 'dumb'...your point about gambling and saying the you made a small fortune.....I don't see it so I doubt it following your comments. And talking about 'tiring', when are you going to realize how much tired are your comments, your complains about the surfaces (what you did about Wimbledon was the most ridiculous comments than I remember to read around here) your hate, your negativity? think about it too

You need help. Half the world was talking about Wimbledon being the slowest it's ever been. Writers on all the biggest tennis sites, posters who can see with their own non defective eyes, TV commentators and get this, THE PLAYERS themselves. But somehow in your sad little world it's only ridiculous when I say it. Do the world a favour and take your stupidity elsewhere.

Lol, you are the one who would do a huge favor taking your stupidity (which your showing more and more) elsewhere. Then if the surface was so slow it means that your old guy was totally favored, isn't? and do you know what the whole world said about that Wimbledon final was the worst in years or you only hear and read what is more convenient for you?

I think this is a slightly insulting post, to suggest that he is a "clay specialist." This is a label that grass lubbers and Fed fans have tried to peg on him for a long time. He worked hard at his all-court game, and has had a great deal of success. Do you just become a "clay specialist" when you've succeeded on all surfaces? Also, he did make the final of the AO, a 500 and a 1000 on HCs, so clearly you're grading on a curve. To your question, I, personally, am not especially concerned that he has no more HC chops. I am concerned that you have a rather short-term memory. :lulz2:
I didn't take it as a suggestion that Rafa is now a clay specialist. El Dude was asking Rafans what they thought.

I myself have suggested elsewhere that perhaps Rafa should now concentrate on clay because of his propensity for injuries and better to prolong his career. I would love for him to be active for some years to come. It's that he is so much more comfortable on clay and this helps his game.

He has triumphed on all surfaces where most have not. I am wishing him a win at the US Open, of course.

OK everyone, this is it. Carol, the knowledgeable (cough) has just proven to the whole world the extent of her knowledge while calling me stupid in the same sentence with this gem above ^

Poor, poor Carol, the whole problem with the slow grass was that it made it WAY HARDER for Federer. He prefers fast surfaces, you numbskull. The only reason he won was because he's the best on grass and didn't face anyone able to tax him. And even more stupid, I already posted it was a crap final and actually a boring tournament overall and yet you're trying to claim I said it was a good final and tournament, both of which are total bollocks.

The only reason he won was because the best players were injured or playing pretty bad and his final opponent finished in tears because wasn't able to play well because his blisters and later we found out he was injured too
Keep insulting me if that makes you happy but you should look in the mirror and you will see who is a numbskull. And what are you doing around this thread if you can't be able to say something constructive and worth? your hate doesn't have any limit

Players were injured, absent and didn't play well at RG too, genius if you want to go down that route of "that's the only reason he won".

As for what am I doing around here, I already posted multiple times that I was only stating Nadal WAS NOT better than ever on clay in 2017. One post and I would have left it at that only for your stupid responses.

Genius, Murray and Novak played RG, the only absent was your idol and not because he was injured and Rafa played the final against Wawrinka who won RG two year ego, big difference with the Wimbledon draw and final. And are you talking talking about stupid responds? like I said before, you are doing worse and worse

Murray and Djokovic were not 100% healthy at RG, genius.

Genius, two years ego Rafa wasn't 100% in RG, last year he had to retired after the second round because his wrist and you never said the who ever was the winner was because others were injured or absent and was an easier way to win. You see whatever you want to see

I've no idea what you're even trying to say here. 2 years ago Rafa was not injured at all and just lost to Novak who then lost to Stan. The following year Rafa retired, yes. The winner is the person who wins. There is no seeing what you want to see. The winner is the winner and that's all there is to it.

Very simple, you say that this year some players didn't play well in RG, then also you should to say the same when two years ego Rafa played horrible in RG and that was why he lost. THINK! :cuckoo:
This is a waste of time so badly answering a hater who never is going to see the reality and the logic trying always to dismiss a player who is considered one of the best players of the history and the best of clay where not even others great players have been able to win more than one RG and not even once. Keep doing such an unreasonable comments if you feel better and if you want to have the last word do it, anyway you are not change the past results, the ones that are coming and the tennis history, but try to enjoy more this sport taking off all the anger you have, you will be a lot more happy

You're hilarious. I gave Nadal plenty of credit for winning RG this year. You're too full of hatred reading my posts to even read them PROPERLY. You have ruined this whole thread over my factual post that Nadal is not as good in 2017 as he was in 2008 or 2010 on clay. 100% ruined.
