I think it’s a great run for American players. They’re not so bad, and we’ve all been waiting for something resembling greatness from America for years. You won’t get it from Fritz or Tiafoe, but they’re pointing you in the right direction…

One thing that concerns me about Nadal's mindset. I Always felt that Rafa has been playing blackjack at the casino for the past ten plus years. He has been dealt "face card and the 6 of whatever but refuses to take another card..Now that he is at the #22 why is he playing so safe! Rafa is a beast in practice and I felt at AO 2022 being down two sets and a break to Daniil's hardcourts excellence, Rafa finally played high risk or high stakes blackjack. What in the HELL does he has to loose at the last tournament of the year for him?

Totally agree, brother. He was the same in 2020, losing matches that he should be doing better in. He served for the match against Danii back then and chump-changed it. He tightens up sometimes and it’s at odds with his usual mental strength. I suppose this is natural but that doesn’t make it less infuriating…

Correct, Rafa is a rhythm is a player and needs the matches,at this stage of the year,his playing schedule has been interrupted, quite frankly I was surprised Mery and his baby son accompany him to Turin, agree it is a new experience having a baby in tow.

Yes he does have a lot of points to defend in the first half of the year to RG, good question if Mery and Raphael will come to Australia, it would not surprise me, as other players with their wives and children make the trip.

I think he will take his team into the war room and realize that he can ONLY play 15 or less tournaments even though he may be healthy. The Slams and preservation of his body is Primary.
