Thanks. Is there footage of him currently training or is he just taking it easy with the baby and the family? That would give us a hint if he plans to play in the rest of the year or take it easy until the AO.
Rafa has been in practice for awhile, of course he took some time off when the baby came., back in practice now

One of my great all time crushes - and I don’t mean Ruud or Rafa!
Dude, I saw her about 5 years ago in Cincy,, She is simply MUY HERMOSA ! I think I would fight Duane Johnson aka the Rock for her affection.( I know that's a pipe's dream but I wont go there). Funny thing, Whenever I mention that I can physically get the best of the Rock in a fight, all my Colombian amigas, Laugh at me and says that the Rock will crush you. Well, what do they know, I'm from the mean rough west side of Chicago. Maybe I have fought bigger and stronger guys before. SMH2 jajaja

Novak banned or not, Rafa should have a decent shot at defending, as he's come close there so many times and should protect it.
I would like to see one more tweak to Rafa's serve and addition to his team. Hire Feli Lopez as serving consultant.

Carlos Moya has confirmed today that Rafa will be playing both Paris-Bercy and the ATP Finals in Turin
Oh good. Two more chances for Rafa to injure his abs again.

I think he should take the rest of the year off, and come back strong in January. You know, when he came back and won the AO.

Yes, because isn't he also playing some exhibitions? Stay home and play with the baby for a few months.

No, nothing is garanteed for the future. If Nadal is healthy right now then he should enjoy playing (maybe he wants that YE#1, but also win one of Paris Bercy or Tour Finals which he has not done yet). 2023 is not garanteed regardless of what happens now. He can't be "afraid" of playing because of fear of getting injured.

"It is better to arrive in Turin with matches because the conditions will be similar," Carlos Moyer said in an interview today., their decision to play Paris-Bercy Masters.
Rafa plans to play a series of exhibitions in Latin America during the off season.

Absolutely agreed on this. If he wants to play Turin, he has to play Bercy.

Nadal should just rest until AO 23 however as other posters have said Nadal can't live in fear of getting injured.
Thanks Andy22, I take your point with Rafa should rest until AO 2023, though I have to agree with the other posters 'Rafa cant live in fear of getting injured" I honestly thought Rafa would not be playing at age 36, so in many ways it is a bonus, winning 2 GS in 2022, I think most Rafa fans would be delighted, I know I was:)

To be honest at his age, he should be quite careful about where he plays and playing exhibitions. He looked downright uncomfortable at times this year dealing with injuries on court. Nearing the end of your career do you really want to reinjure yourself or injure yourself playing exhibitions possibly costing you slam hardware.
