What is the score?

Fog-Rafa 6-7 6-3

Everything happens for one reason, I wouldn't mind if Fog would beat Rafa, this one is doing a lot of errors and he would be much better resting, fishing and practicing to be ready for Roma

I can't see the match but we all suspected that he would struggle with the fog although he is inside the magic box :snicker

Wow! Fognini almost straight setted Rafa again. He just has the game to irritate the Spanish Bull it appears.

Looks as though Nadal is coming through easily in the third. He may have to up his game against Kyrgios though.

Rafa will have a retroactive ear infection if he loses.

Then I suppose Roger will have a retroactive back, knee injury or mono if he loses playing the next whatever tournament he decides to play

I don't get this. Neither of he two users injuries to make excuses. Some of their fans do (on both sides), but why keep going on about it?

El Dude, I thought you were above baiting Rafa fans like this ...

Lighten up, jedi. Sometimes it is just a bit of friendly ribbing.

Fog, you stink. Well, at least now we get to see Kyrgios blast Rafa off the court.

Which is fine as long as it doesn't escalate into pages and pages of Federer vs Nadal nonsense ...

Which it hasn't, so I suppose I jumped the gun. Sorry guys and gals ...

A Rafa Fan you are Not :nono

Don't take it personally. Other than Roger, I want all of the Big Four to lose. I'm a fan of Roger first, regime change second :p

Fog seemed to push Wafa hard but couldn't get it done in the end. Nice to keep the asshole out there awhile though, tire him out. Hope Kyrgios can make it a Wafa-free tourney.

Gotta laugh at Stan being up a break in the first set, now down a break and Paire serving for the set.

Grigor is through. Cilic takes the first set vs. Zverev in today's slug-fest, but Zverev is up a break in the second. I'm not watching it, but these guys seem like a good match for each other.

Rafa didn't play his best today, his level dipped too much in the second set. However, he blasted a few DTL forehands with proper pace and venom. I really liked those.
I just need to say this though: Fognini is absurdly talented. What he pulls off on those half volleys. Miraculous. Those are clean half volley winners on clay no less. Apart from Roger, and perhaps a few other guys, no one can perform those as consistently as he does.
I remember playing with a friend, and timing a perfect half volley winner down the line. Racquets were smashed. :D

Tignor is not even consistent. He picks Rafa to win Madrid, but Kyrgios to win the R3 match against Rafa . :nono

Or is he being clever and making sure that at least some of his picks will be correct? :puzzled

Exactly. It's kinda irritating because I'm sure he knows that by now his reputation is for getting everything so wrong that he's perceived to be a jinx, so does he play along with this and pick players to win who he hopes will lose? or does he not realise that a player can't lose his second match and still win the tournament?

He's gone a bit silly. He picked Thiem to win an MS earlier in the year, just because, oh, I dunno, it's a bit of fun to do that?

Stanimal is going to be very dangerous at RG. He proved again today by losing early. I am not being sarcastic. Stanimal goes on a big run when you least expect it to happen.

He definitely plays better when he's coming in under the radar. If he's expected to be a front runner, he's likely to drop a calf...
