I will miss the Rafa-Kyrgios match because I will be flying at that time but watching Feli-Novak I see that Feli is giving a hard time to Novak and this last one is shouting like Tarzan, he really wants to win :D

Tarzan won

Murray does not look good today. He was broken twice by Coric

Make that 3 breaks and cost him the whole set.

Boric serving for a routine straight set win against Andy, Thiem favoured over Grigor, Kyrgios could upset rafa - this is turning into a potentially breakthrough MS event, with as many as 3 NextGen players in the QF...

Young pusher beats old pusher, and we have the first LL to achieve quarters in Madrid. Saw the second half of the last set, good stuff by Coric, bureaucratic showing by Murray. I had Murray losing precisely in this round in my draw -- but for Pouille instead.

Mon Dieu; is this the beginning of the end of the Murray train? We all knew he wouldn't be able to duplicate his results from last season, but to go out to a "LL" like that so routinely! Look out; the next GEN may be here! I really like Thiem, Zverev , Kyrios, & Coric, but they have to get it done more consistently and take these opportunities to build on what they each have to offer the tour! :clap - - http://fiero4251.blogspot.com/2016/08/fan-page-novak-nole-djokovic.html

Didn't see the match but is Murray that far off form that he's not going to be a factor at the French? The good news for the "NextGen" is that Coric or Zverev has a good chance to make their first Masters 1000 final. The bad news is they're probably going to lose to Nadal or Djokovic in the final.

I don't know if you can say Murray's off form; just that he can't get away indefinitely playing that stupid defensive style of his! He must think he's 20 instead of almost 30 thinking he can sustain his #1 ranking playing like this! :puzzled

Coric may finally be taking another step forward, as he's played pretty well this year so far.

On the other hand, man, Andy's reign at #1 has just been weak. Its like he reached cruising altitude and just shut the engines off, and is coasting. But because Novak isn't playing any better, and everyone else is so far behind, he's racking up weak after weak at #1 and will probably remain there until late in the year.
