Almagro hitting a bit of form.
He is, and he plays Djokovic tomorrow. Now, while I don't expect him to win, it seems to say something about where Djokovic is that it seems like a tricky first match for Nole. Contrast that to a year ago. By the same token, Rafa plays Fabio tomorrow. A year ago, that might have seemed like a potential banana skin. Tomorrow I don't think it is. (Adding into the equation that Flavia and Fabio's baby is due any day now. I think F3 is likely to be distracted.)

Triple F versus Rafa? Of course one can never count on Fabio to show up but when he does, he makes things a bit interesting.

Is Rafa practicing since the inner ear infection?

I read that he practiced for a couple hours but still feeling a bit dizziness..I wouldn't be surprised if Rafa withdrew

Good news is that whatever be the result, his record of not losing a match while not injured will remain unbroken.

I had Schwartzman to upset Nishikori on my draw, but since getting a breadstick on set 1 Nishikori raised his level immensely, he his playing Soderling-like clay court tennis. In fact I guess I am rooting for him to keep like this the whole tournament...

shoulder injury, bad luck for him

Although he is built like a brick wall, he is pretty fragile.

Nishikori, Krygios, Raonic won

Kyrgios/Rafa next round? Assuming Rafa beats F3 which I think he will. I liked Moxies post a couple of posts back, in that it would be a bit of a shock if F3 pulls it out, but last year it probably wouldn't be.
