Watch the match, it was more than just do what is needed.TBH, it was hard to watch that 3rd set. Garin completely lost it, and Berrettini show what it means to have the experience at the higher tree level. Happy for Mateo, but Garin lost a match that was in his grasp. As to Rafa, oh, well. Madrid is never great for him. I couldn't watch the match, but it sounds like Zverev did what he needed to...had a game plan, and pulled it off. Not that easy. Good for him.
Over a long period of the match Zverev played lights out. Of course Nadal wasn’t near his best. But in best of 3 with this performance, the young German can beat everyone everywhere, IMO.
