Looking forward to Fog vs Monfils. Let's see which one of the two headcases plays the better tennis.

Thiem is injured? Nadal fans must be relieved. I pick him to win FO in the next 2-3 years.

Curious how good Zverev will be on clay. He is destined to be number one if his health does not derail him.

Nadal to Rosol "fool, you best Czech yourself before you riggity wreck yourself!"

This have something to do with Rosol knocking over Nadal's water bottles? It's one sick picadilo anyway! Most of Rafa's ticks are strange! :nono :cover

Nadal has OCD. I am fairly sure he can substitute other ticks for his current ones if he put his mind to it. He really should try.

Yep, the same OCD than Michell Jordan and Borg had and Messi and other super athletes have now, it helps them to be more focus and that's exactly what Rafa needs now

Rublev is clearly not soup yet. He was in the qualification draw in Marrakech and lost to a lesser ranked player. Now, he got booted handily by Zverev.

Yeah. I'm watching him closely and waiting for something to click. I'm pretty high on him and see him as a future top 20 at least, but I'd like to see him him start winning more matches. At the least I'd like to see him in the top 100 by the year's end.

Alex Zverev handily defeated fellow young guy Andrey Rublev, putting him #50 in the live rankings. Another win or two should firmly place him within the top 50. He's at the point where he should be able to consolidate a top 40-50 ranking.

Zverev will be among best.

Only seen him play a couple times. How's his emotional IQ? Does he keep calm or fly off the handle at some discomfort.
I worry about this with Coric sometimes...super young and talented, but some maturing is necessary.
Then again, I guess nothing will compare to Kyrgios :snicker

Coric has no real weapons though and is basically a pusher who also happens to be a grunter like every other pusher. Kyrgios will go much further, headcase or not, as he has a great serve and powerful ground strokes, neither of which Coric possesses.

Poor Almagro can't lift his head up after his foot injury and I don't expect too much of Feli after to see him these last tournaments...horrible game
Meanwhile Rafa/Verdasco have beaten Kohls%*@&/Troicki 6-4 6-2

How dare you say Coric has no weapons?? :nono
Grunting is a major weapon. He does it to such extent that his opponent gets annoyed and sends the ball in out.

Thiem did not have an easy go of it today. He had to fight to advance.

What does not kill you, makes you strong.

He supposedly was fighting through some injury! Anyone? He's good, but if he has trouble with some kid we've never seen before, you can forget an upset against Nadal in his section! :nono  :dodgy: :p

Ferrer withdraws. Zverev gets a free pass into the next round.

Hopefully Herbert has shaken off the nerves against McToothy. After trashing the first set, he's come out strongly in the 2nd. He up three break points on Andy's serve.

Herbert breaks.

Herbert breaks twice. Now he just needs to hold. :cover I hope you guys will check out some of the highlights from this match. This kid has a lot of the French panache, but I'm hoping with more substance. In any event, you'll enjoy the highlight reel.

It doesn't make one "anti-Nadal" to think there's huge upset potential with Thiem. Or are you really Carol? ;)

Herbert slashes his way to winning the second set. Plays Murray for the decider. If he takes McToothy's scalp, this will be huge for his confidence. Fingers crossed. :please:
