Less than 30% first serves in for Murray in this 2nd set is the only reason he's in trouble.

And Rafa's playing better too, right?

No he's not. He's losing most of the long baseline rallies.

So what? That doesn't indicate anything. You never give credit where it's due. :cover

All the match so far is about how Andy is playing, right? :cover

He's starting to win the big points. His difficulty will be if he tightens when he serves for the second set. No pain, no gain. He's going to have to bust through the mental pain barrier to win this one, and that's the area he's been most frail since his return in 2015...

The only way Nadal wins is if Murray's first serve % stays low.
Isn't that part of the game of tennis

Ministry of the bleeding obvious. Of course it is but it's also why Murray is losing now 'cos the rest of his game isn't too bad right now besides his serve. I was replying to Puppet Master's claim that Nadal will win by grinding down Murray but actually Murray's winning the majority of long points.

They're both playing very well at times but there's a lot of slop and poor serving in there and the first set was higher quality and had way less godawful pushing than this one.

Let's hope for a better third set with less pushing and better serving.

Andy is under a lot of pressure, and Rafa is the one applying it. He's upped the stakes. The second set had some remarkable shotmaking on both sides...

Murray's epitaph will read "I could actually have been a pretty good player if my serve wasn't complete crap"

You fricking beaut!

I'm not saying Rafa will win this match, but he's starting to look a teensy bit like the man who normally shows up in Monte Carlo...

Roddick ended his career with a 5-4 winning head to head over Djokovic.

If Rafa plays ike he did at the end of the 2nd set and the beginning of the 3rd set by keep charging forward and hitting the ball flatter some what deeper, his results this clay tournament will be more to his liking

The amount of time Nadal is taking between points is a disgrace. Mark Petchey is saying Murray should make an official compliant to the ATP. Cowardly umpire doing nothing about it. I can't stand Petchey but he's 100% right.
