If Nadal and Djokovic had met in this tournament, I really think it would be a quick straight sets win by Nadal, judging obviously by what both have shown so far.
Not so sure about your generalization. I thought Fedal were much better at keeping youngsters in their place than Nole. I don't have the stats, but I think Nole is significantly losing more to up and coming players than Fedal (oh, BTW don't compare today's 37 year old Fed with today's Nole).
I thought I said Nole's more vulmerable and has a bigger list of past pigeons that he's lost to in important matches like a major, Olympic, or YEC Final! Obviously Fedal have faired better since they lead him in the major's count!
We all know that Fedal lead Nole in Major count. But, here I am talking about their ability to stop up and coming youngsters and showing them their place. It is my opinion that Nole is not fairing good in this department.

The plot thickens below the surface. Especially on clay, there hardly any names to be takenn in consideration for big titles, aside Nadal, Djokovic, Thiem or Zverev.Hmmm.. 2nd Masters series in a row with 2 new players right? Things are changing beneath the surface
Thanks! I had it written down correctly...just transposed wrong. It was late. Which is why, @GameSetAndMath, I didn't take the time to draw conclusions. I fixed it in the post.Quick rundown of the top NextGen (and I included Kyrgios, for being the first giant killer among them:

Wow, that was some comebackJust came up with a new GOAT measure:
Being able to win the first set from 1-5 on your first masters semi.
Djokovic did that? No
Federer did that? No
Nadal did that? No
Lajovic did that? YES!
On your faces, bitches!
Here's what I've got for each against this particular group of NextGen:This is like Muller Report. Lots of facts and not much conclusion.
