This will be Osaka's first final since the AO 2021
Also her first WTA1000 final since Cincinnati 2020
Osaka used to always play better in majors for some reason, anyway she has a chance to win a WTA1000 tournament here in the finalIt's amazing she's won more majors than regular tournaments!

What I would like her to do is have a better transition game to the net playing doubles can also help for grass; also for clay she needs better footwork. At present she can only play well on HC.
Media interview and questions what more can I say lol!....most of the time I prefer to read in silence their press conferencesLove her play but can do w/o interviews using a type of "upspeak" that makes me cringe! "Yes, I'm answering your ?? which sounds like a ??!"
I agree with K, though. If young players are feeling the stresses, esp. in these pandemic times, I applaud them for having the counseling they need, esp. psychological. Beyond on-court coaching, which I don't agree with, I am all for players getting all the help they need and can afford.Agree, I have no problem with players having therapists from time to time, but at the end of the day it is you on the court and have to work things out for yourself and nerves do play a part in that.
My point is not all the time, they need to be able to work things out on the court themselves, otherwise they cannot get match tough.,also they have to learn how to close out matches by them selves, Iga is now having trouble closing out the match, another point they need to learn by them selvesI agree with K, though. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with having a sports psychologist to help you. What you do on the court is still all you.My point is not all the time, they need to be able to work things out on the court themselves, otherwise they cannot get match tough.,also they have to learn how to close out matches by them selves, Iga is now having trouble closing out the match, another point they need to learn by them selves
