D. Kasatkina (8) vs E.Mertens even though Kasatkina is only 5-7 so far this season, she holds H2H 4-1 over Mertens

V. Azarenka (14) vs C.Giorgi H2H Azarenka 2-1, though these 2 players havent played each other since 2019, Azarenka is a 3 time Miami champion, and Giorgi is coming off the a 3hr 32min match against Kanepi, equaling the longest women's match of the year.

Daria better get her game together she wont be in the WTA Top 10 for much longer
I checked her results in Miami in 2022, she lost to Sasnovich in the 2nd rd, in receipt of a first round bye

I don't think Daria's results were good the first half of last year. That's probably why she can still coast in the top 10. The better results are coming and she'll have to defend those since she didn't do much the first part of the year.

I don't know. Maybe she is, but I would hope she wouldn't keep playing if she was carrying a bambino.
