The 'stand out' feature for me is the quick adjustment Alcaraz has made coming from the slower courts of IW to the faster courts in Miami...he just gave another bagel to Lajovic in the 1st set.

He seems about the only one to make that quick transition. Rybakina for example is still struggling even though these courts suit her game to a T.

Loss of concentration here by Carlito when serving for the match. This is going to a TB now. If there's one glaring weakness in the Charlie game, it's that throw away game that creeps in. Definitely needs to tighten that up.

Casper Ruud still hasn't won back to back matches in 2023, going down in 3 sets to Botic Van de Zandschulp 36 64 64
His bhand is still in 'achilles heel' he also failed to close out points, in final set he was 1/8 BP.,overall his BP was 2/15.

Take a look at the Sinner/Rublev head-to-head. They‘ve played four times, and technically it’s 2-2, however Rublev’s two wins came because Sinner retired. Very unusual.

Tsitipas still has shoulder issues, he cannot hit his bhand at full strength, Garin has his chances in the match, Tsitsipas 63 46 64, Tsitipas will play KK next.

It would be helpful for FAA if his shots find the court. SF 2022 Cerundolo wins the 1st set 62
FAA W 2 UFE 7 Cerundolo W 6 UFE 6

Ouch, its an ugly way to lose; Felix broke back to get even at 4-4, seemed to have the big Mo at 5-4 , had won like 10 of 12 points just to drop serve again at 5-5 so Cerundolo served it out to win 7-5, despite Felix having at least 1 BP in that last Cerundolo serving game.

Had hopes Felix could do well at Miami, considering he had a good and not particularly exhausting run (reached the qtrs) at Indian Wells.

Its odd, Felix so far hasn’t done exceptionally well at the Masters level, in 32 tries he has reached 2 SF’s.

We just can't expect a straight+ trajectory of excellence from players today; even Alcaraz! He may pull it off like the Big 3 & rarely drop a match to a lower ranked player, but the rest of these clowns are gonna lose and lose badly at times! Their weapons aren't that deadly! :fearful-face::anxious-face-with-sweat: :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Tented,

Concerning stat for FAA with this loss today, first time FAA is missing a M1000 QF since Monte Carlo, FAA having a tough season so far.
