6-3,6-4 Taylor in straight sets.
I give Fritz credit, he served very well, big bombs at close to 80% for the match and little Holger did not develop any kind of a good read on it, despite breaking him early in the 1st.
This caused more pressure on Rune’s service game, where Fritz relaxed and took his chances.

Fritz played a very good match to defeat Rune 63 64 awaits the winner of Alcaraz or BFF Tommy Paul. Fritz yet to drop a set in 3 rounds.What impressed me the most with Fritz's win he placed the ball in the middle of the court, cutting off angles from Rune and was aggressive stepping forward at crucial times in the match, which paid off in the long run.

BTW Emil becomes the first Finn to reach a Masters1000 QF since Nieminen in 2013

KK defeats Tsitsipas 76(4) 64 to reach Miami Masters QFs for the first time in a Masters1000 since Canada 2019.
Quite frankly with Tsitsipas ongoing shoulder problems I didnt think he would get far in Miami.
BTW it will be interesting to see if Tsitsipas can defend his title at MC in April.
