I hope it really is a stomach ailment, and not an excuse to cover up knee issues. He should have stuck to the Monte Carlo return date.

Fritz needs to tighten up his FH. I don't know why he thinks his FH is better than his BH. So erratic on that side.

I think because he has more winners of the FH side and everybody says he has a good FH. If you keep hearing it, you will start believing it. he played a good first set, having SP. He looked tired and deflated afterwards.

I didn't watch the second set because I knew what the outcome would be. Fritz has a lot of promise and should be top five if he stays healthy. I am impressed with the emotional maturity of the young players breaking through.

It's obvious that Roger is not ready to play yet and who knows when

What's obvious, Carol, is that you never miss an opportunity to snipe at Roger or Novak. Roger has the stomach flu---do you honestly think he would request a wild card into Miami if he weren't ready tennis-wise to play competitively? As to "who knows when" he'll be ready to play--it's already been announced: Monte Carlo.

Roger did not ask for a WC. He had been on the list form the beginning.

Del Potro lost in 2 sets.
The two Lopez, GG and Feli were both upset: Guillermo by Pouille and Feli by Nishioka.

Nice job by Fernando Verdasco to defeat Chardy: 6-4, 6-4

What are you talking about? if you know something (I doubt it) about injuries/surgeries you should know that AFTER A KNEE SURGERY TO PLAY AGAIN IN TWO MONTHS IS TOO EARLY for anyone. He had plans from the beginning to start in Momtecarlo which is a lot more smart but he decided to play in Miami at the last moment, why? and I hope he will be ready for Montecarlo in all the ways.
Don't try to twice my words and check more what others posters are saying though I know that you don't care, It seems that you only care what I say it doesn't matter what, completely ridiculous
And before to respond attacking me you should try to read well and thinking with more logic, leave me alone!

Either Djoker is bored or he feels badly that he's crushing Edmund... dumps his serve so that Edmund is on the board 1-4.

I thought Zverev will able to defeat Johnson but he was not able to capitalize some opportunities in both tiebreaks.

I think Zverev needs to improve his fitness and shotmaking if he wants to go to the next level. The great thing is he is only 18 so his fitness will naturally improve. As for his shot making abilities, he just needs to be a little bit more patient. He should not be Coric in where he will get defensive most of the time. He should construct a point first then attack when the opportunity arrives. His forehand needs to be tightened up a little bit but his back backhand is a thing of beauty especially when he gets aggressive with it.

Edmund getting his teeth into the match. Nice serving.

Watching some of his shots, methinks Edmund has played his fair share of squash.

I think if Fritz wants to challenge down the road he has to make a strong commitment to fitness. I think that really is the difference between the elite and the tennis content their fitness commitment is on a whole other level to everyone else.

Sousa knocks of the other Canadian....

Looks as though Novak has taken the legs away from Edmund.

Well, the good thing is that he is only 18 years old so he has time to get his fitness ready. The important thing is that he needs to improve his fitness and refine his game. If he could do both, then he will be a good player in the future.

Sorry Carol but your post it total BS. YOU are talking about Federer not playing Miami because of his knee surgery---where did you read that? What are your sources? Once again, the facts are these: 1)Federer decided to play at Miami because he was READY to, instead of waiting for Monte Carlo;
2)His withdrawal was due to the flu, not his knee.

Your statements about personally attacking you just deflect the inaccuracy of your statements. Stick to the facts and move on, please.

Everything happens for a reason and I don't think Federer is ready to play on HC, he said from the beginning that he will play his first tournament in Montecarlo which is more smart than to play now, so that flu or whatever he has is the best thing can happen to him.
My statements are pretty logic and more accuracy than your which always are out of context and twisted everything, relax!

And talking about statements, Roger said right after the surgery that he would skip only Rottedam and Dubai, his schedule was to play in IW and later he said in MC, later in Miami. He has a stomach virus, yes, but anyway he WASN'T ready to play
