Dimi drops the 2nd set to Delbonis and we're heading to a decider.

I wanted Dzumhur to pull the upset, but not this way, through retirement.
Sorry if Nadal got injured.

It wasn't an injury; more a loss of conditioning! They actually checked his blood pressure! :puzzled :nono :cover

Oh, Ok. I see. Did he forgot some of his water bottles at the hotel ;)

I didn't see that part, I was too disgusted to watch Dzumhur winning games against Rafa. I think it's the humidity. The conditions were too tough for the Spaniard. That's the only explanation I see. Or maybe it's an injury.

You're kidding right? After 9 FO wins beating ATG's, now he's wilting due to heat and humidity in Miami? :nono :cover

You couldn't even begin to realise how much I wish I was kidding, but I am not. Why else would they check his vitals? The humidity during the day session is obviously killing the top guys, including Rafa. It seems that his internal organs are declining as much as his tennis skills and athleticism/power. I think I am done watching Miami thank you very much.

I said before that Rafa should have skipped Miami. :cover

Well, if he didn't feel right there was no point in continuing. Why should he continue and make things worse? He knows his body well enough. I just hope he's not injured...

Didn't really say, but the doctor was on court and took his vitals. He complained he didn't feel well. It's either the heat or he came into the match w/ something.

That flu bug is making its way through Miami.

Darn Fed fans probably feed poor Rafa last night what Roger ate the day before that made him ill. I smell a conspiracy.. Does anyone know of DarthFed whereabouts last night

PM dont be too hard on Rafa.. its those conditions were tough today and if its a virus going around there no way avoiding feeling ill no matter how well you prepare.( I have had a stomach virus that had me down for two days). it just one of those things

Rafa is not injured, he felt in the second set more and more dizzy and with some vision problems and then in the third he decided to retire before he would got worse.
Today has been very hot day, very humid and none breeze at all :nono

This is why Rafa should not be on an incline. If he goes an incline, it feels dizzy. :laydownlaughing

p.s. In fairness, it looks to be a tough day out there. I can count as many as four retirements on the men side alone today.

So, the big man with big serve double faults twice in a row to lose the TB of the final set and match.
What good is your serve, if it cannot help you in time of trouble. I have seen this happen to Big John several times now.

It's the best thing has happened to Rafa, now he has plenty time to take a litle rest and training on clay to be ready for his 10 RG, yes!

If Rafa loses early at RG, I am sure you would say that is the best thing that happened to him as he can start practicing on grass earlier than others and win his 3rd Wimbledon this year. :snicker

I expect Jack Sock to take out Milos.

Normally, people say we don't know what will happen when an irresistible force meets an immovable object. But, in tennis answer is simple. The irresistible force always wins. :)

I found it interesting that Nadal got sick in the heat. Isn't this the guy who lived to play 5-6 hour matches on clay? Getting old kinda sucks, don't it, Nadal? :lolz: He'll be 30 in about 2 months and he's finding out the hard way that things he could do even 2-3 years ago...just ain't all that easy anymore.

So Roger's out with a stomach bug. Nadal dropped out with heat exhaustion. Stan has his head up his butt - and lost yet another early round match. Murray will probably have another brain fart loss in the next couple of rounds. Why don't they just stop the men's tourney and give Nole the trophy and let everybody else take the rest of the week off?

Seeds 3,4 and 5 have gone home and the task of giving a half hearted try at stopping Novak falls into the broad shoulders of Murray, Berdych and Ferrer against whom Novak has a collective H2H of 60-16. So, at the end of Miami Tourney we will have a new leader of Masters Titles.
