No one has to be especially nice. I think we've established that here. All I'm saying is, if you give it out, expect it back, and don't pout when people come after you. Busted can be a total pain in the ass to Nadal fans, I'll give you that. But she takes on the chin what she gives. If I called you out for gloating, that's one Nadal fan to another. I'd be interested to know when you think I have gloated, as much as it matters. Bottom line is, imho, if you make bold statements, expect push-back. Stick your chin out and defend them. This is a discussion board, which means it's an argument board. We scrape and bruise each other, a bit. But we're a pretty good community. Most around here brush it off and keep going. If you can find a less-trollish tennis board, with more interesting conversation, do take yourself there. I don't think there is one. He's said for two years now that his knees feel weird when he practices on clay ever since his knee surgery following 2016 AO. At this point it's probably best to take him at his word. Given the state of the tour, including Rafa, if he wasn't worried about his health I think he'd play RG and probably Rome.

What makes you so sure that he will be number until Wimbledon? He has so many points to defend, and you better hope that he will be fit enough to defend all those points. I know he is a clay court specialist, but he can be upended if he is not close to full fitness. As you know, he relies on fitness to play his best tennis.
