No matter how many times I watch it, Niculescu's funky style amazes me. Has to be very frustrating to play her. [/size]

I guess it would depend on your own playing style. But that forehand would really screw my rhythm up. Serena adjusted well from their last encounter though.

This point is an example of why everyone has played second fiddle to Serena. No one moves on the level that she does.

Actually, Strangely, I like watching the change of pace by Niculescu slice fhs. I have actually attending several USTA tournaments(open series) and I have watch a guy in his late 40's bedazzled and completely take some very good college level ball bashers out of their game.:clap

Nicuulescu fh really requires her opponent to create their own pace ..I think Serena issues was that she was not moving her feet. Serena needs to be patience and just hit through the ball, it's the same type of pace that a coach teaches you to hit win they are feeding you balls. As for why Venus does well against Nicuulescu, I assume that she just move her feet and just drive through that ball from an open stance position

I've seen her smile once or twice (when she beat Sharapova last year and when she beat Woz at the USO). :)

Giorgi is beating herself playing high risk tennis. When she figures out how to serve and keep the ball on the court, her ranking will move higher.

Halep has a tougher match next round vs Vika or Penetta

You're assuming she gets out of this match. Flavia won't go away, she could surprise Vika.

I hope not. I like having Azarenka around again. She stirs things up, and makes it interesting.

Flavia just choked, big time. Had SP and dumped serve, then couldn't get the break and now misses out on a challenge and broken again.
