I don't think it's so much that she needs to immediately play like a top player but rather live up to her ranking. The problem with upstarts with only one great result under their belt is that they have all this pressure and kind of don't know how to play week to week. If you're suddenly world number 16 you should be making the 4th round consistently not making the SFs of one slam and then sinking into mediocrity. It's the same story with Genie. She's almost top 5 because she consistently makes the QFs or better of all the slams but then goes out constantly in the first or second round of everything else. The key is learning to win week by week.
