Regarding CiCi: I am glad for the WTA age limitations. Let this young lady take her time to develop emotionally, mentally and physically to play smart tennis against the women of the WTA. At the tender age of 15, she aced Serena Williams and took 2 games off her. Can any other 15 year old lay claim to that?

Regarding Vika: Relax, get physically and match fit and your game will come. The rest of the WTA moved forwards while you were out but you will find your game once again.

Regarding Pennetta: Let's hear it for another "senior" on the tour. She is a true fighter and knows how to work with the talent she has been given to get great results.

Regarding Sloane: Nice to see her back in the mix. She seems more mature and focused. With the media focused on Madison, she has been able to just go about playing her tennis.

Regarding Madison: Don't become another Sloane; (is this a fair statement)?
that ESPN box has ruined careers..from Oudin,Young,Slowne,Keys,Robson and many others.I think they should lay off this youngster,
Vika is trying to be aggressive and its not working...she should take it slow..ease into matches.I noticed that she gets tired towards the end of the match and thats where she is losing.I think she can conserve energy by starting slowly not pacing up and down...or shouting at her box.
Madison is just a mess...no focus just hitting hard harder hardest..:popcorn

Full credit to Flavia, busy all day today, just saw the highlights, she played some very impressive tennis, especially being down in the 1st set and then winning the two tie breaks. Also, continues to play dubs as well, showing her fine fitness.

Why can't she like Clijsters? Maybe her game mirrors Kim's. Not everybody can grow up and play like Serena. Most people won't have the necessary skills and talent to play like a Serena.

How many times are you going to try and have a reasonable discussion with Tossip? In their world Serena is at the same time the ultimate champion and ultimate victim. Everything comes down the that. I mean a few posts ago they claimed they didn't want Bellis making her name off Serena... What does that even mean? In what world does that make sense?
Probably for the remainder of my existence here. This is a discussion board, remember? :D

Venus is looking pretty snappy. Breaks Caro twice and takes the opener 6-3

This is some good big match experience for CiCi and should help prep her for future matches...lots of tape to watch when she gets home.

I'm curious as to where you get your information, because, Bellis stated in her press conference Serena was her idol.

Its incredibly inspirational to watch Venus this season. I'm not sure if something has changed in her treatment or if she's just riding a wave of motivation but it's really really amazing to watch. I've always been so impressed by her grace. One thing Ive always found really beautiful about Venus is that for her it's not always about winning every tournament or grand slam titles, she plays because she loves the game.
