This is so ridiculous to start these matches now! At least Kei's in the 3rd set against Goffin! Mon dieu, it's after 1 am there! :popcorn - This is a long service game for Murray! This doesn't look good for him so far!

Whut? He was already a break up and never faced a break point in that game. Hardly worrying times.

Stayed up so long for this that even though I need to get sleep for work tomorrow I have to continue watching. Hopefully it continues in this vein. Andy looking sharp, just need to keep it up.

It's just that they'll be there rather late and will have to play again the same day; just later! In the States, no way would they have started that match after 1 am! Wasn't there another lighted court somewhere to get it going, then move to Centre Ct? Crazy! :cover :puzzled :nono

I don't see why what they would do in the States needs to be a measuring stick of anything. It's worth remembering that the US Open also chose not to move the Djokovic-Ferrer SF match in 2012 when they knew a major storm was coming, which was all but certain to cause that match not to be finished on Sat., and would push the final to Sunday, which it did. And they had to evacuate that huge stadium in dangerous conditions. We can complain about the choices of tournament directors everywhere.

Hey I'm Andy Murray and you know what would be a good idea? Getting annoyed at something daft and going 3-0 down in the second set. At least it's not 2am or anything. Ffs.

Is Andy going to gift it back??

Close up of Kohli showed toothpicks holding his eyes open.

I like the flowers in the Stadium but...where are the people? 2:30 am, why they are playing so late?

So much for my ally Carol on the notion that Spaniards stay up late. :dodgy:

I've been popping in and out, watching what I can, but I didn't think there would be a third set.

BTW, does anyone remember ever seeing Kohlschreiber smile?

I'll assume from your question that you haven't been watching today, in which case the answer is simply that almost every match has been VERY, VERY long.
