Indeed, I have always been a fan, he is such a character, good for tennis, he has the game on clay, can turn defense into offense, though one thing he does have to improve on his his feet and slide on clay, sometimes to me he looks like a 'bull in a china shop' when he tries to get to a ball lol! though he is improving.

You can do that, but he hates the surface! He's quite likely to be upset by some nobody! It shouldn't happen, but mentally he's not comfortable!

However if he somehow snags this Italian with these slow “muddy” conditions, Daniil may have the epiphany that he’s done well in the 2 most typical to RG tourneys, Monte Carlo & Rome.

Last year he made it to the 4th round at Roland Garros, he is practically “French” as he’s fluent and lives in the damn country so….

I expected closer match. Haven't seen the greek so far in Rome. He should beat Daniil with this game, he is simply a better player on clay.

Agree, on clay Stef is a better clay player than Meddy, though he has to keep up this form against Meddy
