The guy pulls off an Ironman today, and you gratuitously insult him...and yes, imo, because he's a Spaniard. A short google search reveals that your source for this is Nick Kyrgios, not really one in a position to judge the character of others, esp. as he just had a twitter fight with Verdasco...which Kyrgios started. You have a habit of posting your opinions as something that "everyone knows," or "all the players think" or "the majority believes." Just because you like to believe something doesn't make it a "fact," or the opinion of really much of anyone else.

Do a bit more work and, for the record, I agree with a lot of what Kyrgios said in his interview. Way too many pc robots out there. I haven't the patience typing a big response on my phone instead of laptop but no I don't have a habit of going on about the majority or everybody knows. That's all in your head.

It has nothing to do with Verdasco being Spanish as I like Robredo. Newsflash for you, maybe I just don't like the Spaniards you do. Verdasco has a good forehand when he plays well and I actually enjoy watching him at times but this was about his personality and, yes, he's a tosser. Kyrgios is right.

Can't stand Murray either but he was right that Verdasco was abusing the rules in the AO going for an ice bath. Verdasco is an entitled, arrogant prick as not only Kyrgios pointed out. Treats ball boys like shit. Just not a likeable guy at all.

If you say so! I think he's just dependent on the NG'rs choking away another win; esp. when they have match pts! Fed didn't do much!

Lucky for you so that Thiem "didn't do much" and to use your favourite phrase "allowed" Djokovic to beat him in 2 tiebreaks in their last match 'cos Novak was being soundly beaten up until both TBs.

Fining Nick is not going to hurt him in the slightest,I have tried to defend him over the years. He has gone too far this time, throwing a chair, most three year olds usually grow out of 'temper tantrums' Nick has not.He is soo full of himself and has no regard for tennis full stop.He really needs to be suspended,he has to be accountable for his actions this time.
Agree on this too. Maybe deep down in himself he wants to get suspended at some point. If that's what it takes for him to become more serious about tennis then let it be.

It's a shame to see how little is needed to set him off, but he can be really fun to watch when is switched on.

I kinda liked the way he throw the chair and showed emotion..its refreshing to see a young man who is honest about his feelings and the way he dissed Rafa and Nole loved it..he was spot on on these two..
Rock on Nick!

if it's serious I'll actually laugh! I hope it ends his fkg career. Yet again taking his eye off the prize. Last time Canada, now this red sh1t. I'll absolutely fume if this jeopardises Wimbledon. What an absolute twat...:nono::banghead:

I doubt very much the serious nature of this injury. Hell be fine....its a smart decision plus he got matches in before the French.

I think he should not even consider playing at RG. Most of his fans had misgivings about him playing on clay in the first place.

I read Thiem was blaming the organizers for his loss yesterday, stating he was "exhausted" after being kept around the whole day on Wednesday. According to him, they should have called the cancellation a lot earlier.
I find it ridiculous 25y old guy getting exhausted, while the guy who best him is 35 and he had to deal with the same treatment.

if this is some sly way to get out of playing the red crap for all time then I'll retract my miniature Tourette's and bow down before his genius :D

As I said, you read one incident, and then you go on a ranty forum, and you think you have the force of multitudes behind your opinion. I'm sorry, but you're a bit delusional. You can weave one towel incident into a complete character assassination. You do the same with doping assertions. You honestly think that the rest of us follow all of this crap around. Ice-bath-gate. WTF? If you wouldn't bring them up, I'd have no idea. They are tempests in teapots and you try to draw them out into full controversies. You're forcing the issue too much with all of these axes you seem to have to grind.

It is rather cute that you cop to liking Tommy Robredo, though. I'd have taken you more for the Feli Lopez (S&V, one hand bh) or Almagro type.

It was fairly predictable that he'd have had enough of Rome. He'll have done enough to leave it there...proved he can win 2 matches in a day if he wants to and even show up young Coric. He'll play RG and then he'll quit playing on clay.

I read that. He had a whole laundry list of whiny complaints about waiting around and how long it took him to get back to his hotel and how much publicity he had to do when he got to Rome...blah, blah, blah. Good thing he split with Gunter Bresnik, because I think he'd have hit Thiem over the head with one of those logs he used to make him carry around.

We will see if he is actually hurt bad or not. If he is then the guy is an absolute fucking moron who isn't taking tennis seriously anymore. He has a good chance at #21 at Wimbledon if he hasn't maimed himself. And he may need 21 to protect the damn legacy, makes me wonder where his mind is at sometimes.

He's not hurt...he's being smart. Yesterday he had the trainer on court early in the Coric match for a bandaid on his hand. GSM says he's playing clay in part to keep his hand in and not stop competing for the whole of the clay season. I think that makes sense.
