Did I just step into some alternate reality? I checked the scoreboard just now and Novak is down 5-0 and Berd ate a bagel against McFly. :eyepop

They're saying he doesn't seem engaged emotionally and that some have said he's been "cranky" all week. Trouble in paradise?

I don't think that explains the crankiness, but yeah, that's probably part of it.

Only the ninth time in his career that he's been bageled. Not sure the last, but I'm checking.

Roger Federer has only been bageled four times, and three were in 1999 when he was 17-18. The fourth was a French Open final against Rafa.

Just like Rafa "strategically" tanked his match against Andy to avoid Nole in Madrid, Nole is "strategically" tanking his match against Belluci to avoid Rafa. :lolz:

Bellucci is playing his heart out. Even if Novak was on, he'd be tough to beat.

I think the last time he was bageled was against Roger at 2012 Cincinnati.

I think he's regretting playing Rome, pissed off at the draw, and angry at the gluten in the Bellucci bagel.:p

Goffin could potentially double bagel Berdych.

What about Berdy? He's now down 6-0 4-0. Trouble in paradise for him too?

Hard to call Goffin a young gun - he's 25 years old. But I hear your point.

Nole with the break in the 2nd. He is finally a little more focused and Bellucci is dropping from his celestial level of play.

Thiem beats Fed
Pouille beats Ferret
Kyrgios might have had Nadal if he hadn't messed up his hip flexor.
(Almost) elderly Goffin double bagels the ancient Berdcyh.

;)
it was a good day.
