Hard to call Goffin a young gun - he's 25 years old. But I hear your point.

Kyrgios might have had Nadal if he hadn't messed up his hip flexor.

Or if Kyrgios would have made 37 aces like in Wimbledon? :laydownlaughing

I don't believe in "strategies" but how every player is playing very match. None of them likes to lose but the confidence is gold. To go through 3 sets it's not too smart "strategy" :snicker

Nothin Rafa dould have done about that but its tough when you up 0-40 bps and the guy serves 3 bombs like nick did

Kyrgios was playing well and trying the best he knows but Rafa played better without any doubt
I've red something about he has some discomfort in his wrist, hope he feels better :puzzled

Playing Bellucci was good practice for tomorrow... about the only "lucky" thing in the top half of the draw.

Nole does have that youthfulness of a young SkyWalker, but calling your guy the Sith Lord?? :nono

If Rafa wins Rome, he will be seeded #4 at RG. So, Rafa has extra incentive tomorrow.

Am I reading this correct? Was Nole bagelled in the first set? When was the last time that happened?

I said up-thread that I think it was vs. Roger at Cincinnati in 2012.

Lucas Pouille making a run in the slot freed up by Tsonga is symbolic. The future top French player takes the place of the current top French player.
Among the 12 top 100 French players, Lucas is by far the youngest at 22. The next youngest is Paire at 27.

What about Herbert? He could be really good when he disengages himself from dubs.

I think the most interesting match of tomorrow will be the one between Kei and Thiem. We know how the match between Rafa and Nole will end. Only unknown is the route to end.
