The kid continues his roll: Thiem takes out Gilles 7-6(5) 6-2. Served out the match like a champ.
This Sousa is some delectable eye candy Mox. But he's in a heap of trouble w/ Ernie 6-3 2-2

Good on Thiem! I wish I could have seen some of that match…did anyone else? And thanks for the heads-up on Sousa, K. How had he escaped my notice? But yes, he lost to Gulbis.

RBA is serving for the match against Berd 5-4

He did it! This kid is getting better and better.

I've been catching up on the day, after spending a lovely Sunday in NYC meandering about. Good for Bautista Agut! I see that Robbie Koenig is touting him up on his twitter feed as an intelligent player, and top 20 soon. :)

Serious question: Does anyone here enjoy watching Isner?

Only when he plays Karlovic. Kidding. I can tolerate him when he's playing one of my phavorites, but that's about it.

Julien takes the first set. The quality of his game has improved over the set at least.

Decided to watch some tennis after all. Unusual to see Tsonga smash a racquet. Good to see he's an avid reader of this board too and got rid of the stupid haircut :) Looks much better now.

Haase starts the match and he is also already up a break against Grigor.

Very good win for Bradley Cooper. Had a feeling he might win it before it started. Tsonga's on a pretty bad downward spiral.

The Brit commentator here (no idea who he is) called it a big, big upset. Er, no it wasn't. Benneteau's a very dangerous player and his ranking means nothing at all. Tsonga's form is poor and I had a big feeling Benneteau aka Bradley Cooper would win.

You are right. The big upsets were delivered by Bautista-Agut and Thiem.

Grigor is having a rather slow start... at least he got the break back and held his own serve. Still, it's pretty sloppy out there.

Commentator on the English stream I was listening to here was so bad I'm happier to listen to two Spanish guys instead.

Carillo and Courier have spent the last 10 minutes describing their thoughts regarding the Becker/Djokovic pairing. It seems everyone considers it to be the odd couple.
