talking of young guns..taylor fritz zoomed back into form beating an all too often subdued cilic. and what to say about skeletor berdy losing to that 21yr old Japanese bloke (someone nishioka?..i just checked and I forgot his 1st name already..urp) after being 6-1..5-2 up burdy choked (again) big time..mr landoftherisingsun seems to have a good attitude "I just block out the score and fight every point on its own" or something similar.

He paid the price for adopting the wrong strategy.

I didn't watch the match..what was his strategy may I ask

He is really good at the net, very good volleying skills. When he attacked, he won most of his points.
But he was very defensive yesterday, when Lajovic served, defending way behind the baseline and thus the Serb was dictating sending Vasek corner to corner until he made an error.
Pospisil was serving for the match at 5-3 in the third, but he ended up losing the next 4 games.

I was surprised to learn Fritz at 19 years of age already has a son. He is the best American player. Let's hope he does not get distracted by being married with a kid at so young an age.

He's got distracted already enough, after getting married last summer. He dropped in 7 months from being ranked 53 to 136.
But i like what I am seeing this week.
I hope he gets adjusted and gets into a routine to deal with his new life.

Thanks..for the feedback..Novak is the only player that can get away with playing defensive because he has the innate ability to quickly transfer back over to offense

Shame I will miss Nick v Alexander,apparently they are very good friends,this is also their first match against each other.Glad to see one of my favorite players Del Potro back on the tennis court.I have met him personally in Sydney a few years back when he took a WC into Apia.He is a charming young man.I wish him all the success,he has had a horror time with injuries.

Nice. I like Goffin. Gutsy little player considering his light frame. Takes the ball early and very quickly changes the direction and angle of his shots.
