Andy Murray has a history of flops at IW. This was not such a big surprise for me.
He struggled in the previous round as well.
Yes, although I think he gets a bit of leeway here after the break with the baby. It was interesting what Djokers Dad said about him (in the other thread)...largely true.

And with having played DC last weekend. I'd give him a break on this one.

Hope Murray 'll play better in Miami, it's a very disappointing result

I think Murray really struggles with the conditions here. Having watched Djokovic and Murray matches, you can see that they are not playing as they do usually, more mistakes and more margin on their shots.
I have watched Murray's post-match interview, and he said he changed his racket tension adding 4 or 5 pounds just to cope with flying balls, wind, etc... I am not convinced that it is so much paternity related. If you look at his results in Indian Wells, he only reached the final in 2009 and twice the SF for a tournament he plays since 2006. In the same time frame, he won Miami twice and made two finals. He really think he is just struggling with the conditions.

I didn't see the first set, but the DFs and errors crept into the 2nd. Spanish commentary is talking about how flat and uninterested Verdasco seems, and that Nadal has kept him in this set. Mention of heat...is it that hot?

Nervy TB if you're a Nadal fan...9-9. Rafa should not be hitting the middle of the box v. Verdasco. He had been so much more aggressive on returns earlier in the match. Oops...another DF from Verdasco.

And that'll do it, but....Zverev v. Nadal will be a popcorn match.

Holy Toledo! Kohlschrieber with the lovely drop shot, and Djokovic gets it and produces an amazing short cross winner.

You know some of those shots late in that t/breaker from Rafa 'where clutch' that is the positive I am taking from that 2nd set.
