big kokk just won his tb. big serve he's got, stepps into the court ..no baseline lurking.

7-6, 4-1 so far..i don't see a speed gun on the court, biut kokk's serve is fast.

Yesterday, there were 16 first round matches, in 11 of them the lower ranked player prevailed.
These were: Baghdatis, Ramos-Vinolas, Delbonis, Kokkinakis, Coric, Dodig, Pospisil, Smyczek, Gimeno-Traver, Roger-Vasselin and Duckworth.

:clap

Now Federer is critizing IW and Miami MS because are too close, then what about RG and Wimbledon which are GS and diferent surface and also are too close? any complain about it?

Did you even bother to read the article which had
Federer's opinions on this topic. His complaint was not that IW and M are too close. His complaint
is that about 5 days of his time (if he is successful at IW) and up to 14 days (if unsuccessful at IW)
are getting wasted as he (and of course other players) had to wait for M to begin after getting
eliminated at IW.

It is really a good decision to skip M for Fed. You skip only one ATP 1000 event, but you
get two weeks off. On the other hand, if he skips MC for example, he again misses only
one ATP 1000, but gets only one week off.

Even the winner of IW has to wait for 5 days to begin playing in M due to draw size
being 96 and the first round bye.

Yup. I find it hard to criticize Fed's scheduling as it's something he's pretty much always done with his head well and truly switched on. The clay practice coming into clay season will be good too and you can bet he's getting a hefty appearance fee for Istanbul which of course is a major reason he'll play there.

I hope not to hear any whining from Roger when he falls on his face overplaying; esp. all those clay events before his only real chance of winning at Wimbledon! He obviously has forgotten how old he is and what kind of burden he has with that family he travels with from country to country! :nono :puzzled  :cover

He's playing a 250 event instead of a Masters 1000. How will this tire him out more playing far lesser players?

You don't have unlimited time on tour and none of the big 4 have been out on court as much as Federer! He was not only consistently on tour, he was winning as well! He holds all kinds of records because of it and I would think it would be better to scale back; actually skip the French Open, but he keeps going back hoping for lightning to strike! It will catch up with him sooner or later and it'll be ugly! :nono :puzzled :cover

Even after losing AO in 3rd round to Seppi, Fed did not whine. He did not say he has been
playing too much and so got tired or something like that. He did not point out to the long
season he had in 2014 including DC and the Indian Aces stuff. This after the reporters
asked him explicitly giving him a way out to explain the loss.He did not bite into it.
You don't put words into his mouth. Roger is no whiner
