That is true. But, still not all is lost. I now understand why Fed went out early.

Rafa doesn't have a bad draw which I'm very glad but draws is more a paper than anything else. Sometimes they have a tough one but depending how the opponents are playing, injuries and withdraws then it can make a big diference.
I don't think Rafa is still ready to win but if he would reach the semis I would be more than happy because it would mean that he is improving his game and confidence and ready to play better in Miami where I would love to see him raising the Trophy ;)

List of qualifiers:
Novikov, J. Melzer, Coric, M. Zverev, De Bakker, Roger-Vasselin, Duckworth, Dancevic, Berrer, Krajinovic, Bolt, Hanescu, Gimeno-Traver (LL).

I was hoping Ward would make it through, but I'm glad Coric did.

Kukushkin has an arm issue and decides he had enough.

Popsicle played great though. Good serving, good volleying and decent shot selection. His reward? Murray. Let's see how that plays out.

Anything is Pospisil with Vasek. The Canadian No. 2 reaches the second round of the #BNPParibasOpen…

Good win by Vasek, he earned himself a meeting with Muzùza in R2!! I would be thrilled to see an upset there.
