In all fairness GSM, whatever you are trying to do to us now , his problems can't be only mental, were you watching tennis these last few months? The "trimming down" over the years has made him look weak in comparison to his old self, and his shots are noticeably slower. Also consider that he is slugging around the court hitting those floating slices, with every element od his game becoming attackable.

I thought Toni was saying much what you're telling Puppet. Lack of confidence (the mental) comes from lack of match play in a comeback, when the game is not yet back. A negative in the game can breed negative mentality, which can lead to unwise/"safe" shots that are attackable. Likewise positive results tend to breed confidence, which hasn't come all the way back for Nadal, yet. Reminding a player of winning ways can help restore confidence, as Toni said. BTW, I doubt he had any intention of addressing Laura Robson's issue directly. He was being interviewed by a British-centric press, and so was likely asked about her comeback.

I'm sure you're just being funny, but Mirka is a beautiful woman, and extremely capable, on top of it. If Roger traveled the world to get away from the "ball and chain" and the crying babies, that would be one thing, but he's happy to drag around what must be a seriously unwieldy brigade to have his wife and his family with him. Whatever else he may or may not be the GOAT of, he has to be the greatest tennis player ever to schlep around with a wife, 4 kids, and still play elite tennis.
