I'm really not a fan of the "I have a feeling" response. It's not a considered argument.

I agree it's not an argument but I'd like to mention this interesting study

LOLOL. Why would Djokovic need "a lot of good luck"? He's the best player in the men's game by far right now with no one on his tail.

Carol is just trolling. I think he ends up with 4 more, no luck involved. If he does win USO and has another 2+ slam season next year he might reach 14 or 15 but I'm not betting on that.

I have faith he should do that well too, but I voted conservatively at 12; assured he can do at least that with the lame competition of today's players! :nono  :dodgy:

The way Djokovic is always slipping and the way he falls keeps preventing me from thinking that he is a true grass court player. Seems silly but there it is. His game is for any surface and his record at the FO and W are just the way it happened. And someone said it before, but it's so weird that Djokovic, who most consider the great HC player, has 3 Wimbledon's and only one USO. He could remedy that in the near future but it's odd. Djokovic also has the same number of Wimbledons as his esteemed coach, Boris Becker. Another thing that makes me go, what?

Like Nadal, I think Nole is just wiped by the summer; esp. since he wins the AO and the 1st few Masters 1000 events of the season so consistently! I also take into consideration after such a long summer, he's had some awful draws at the USO; going 5 sets with Roger in the semi the day before the final on a couple of occasions! That had to take its toll since he works so hard to win matches at times! Because of his limberness, he'll probably last a lot longer in his spot at #1 than Nadal! :dodgy:

With that serve he has now, I think he can win 4 to 6 more slams.

Yeah, it's more like summer, isn't it?

This all has nothing to do with the fact that they've played 7 times in best of 5 on clay - and Novak has won a total of 4 sets in those seven matches. Trust me, it's not the weather. Give Rafa a little bit of credit for being half decent on clay, eh? ;)

I predicted Nole to end with 9 or 10, which I based upon his hot and cold nature. I think he must get a second US Open at some stage, if only to bring his efforts in that event up to speed: he;s currently 1:4 in finals. Another Oz isn't beyond him, or maybe 2...

I'm not trolling and of course not like you everytime that you say something about Nadal :(
Federer if getting old (and that's why he lost the Wimbledon final) Muzz still playing very irregular , a couple of very good matches and the next one not too good. Nadal, we know what phase is going through. Berdych, a lime and sand. Tsonga and his injuries, Monfils and his clowning around and the youngest ones.... Kei and his injuries, Raonic, Dimitrov and company, they are good but far to be great
But something has to change, it's a cycle. Look Stan, he never had won a GS until 2014 and this year and he is not the best and not even one of the greatest
But if nothing would change then it would be another story and then if Novak would continue playing well and without injuries of course he would win more than three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine etc
etc lol. But sorry, I don't think it could happen

I like the sentiment, but years gone by you couldn't assume something like that! Mon Dieu, Emerson's record held up for over 30 years at 12; now he's not even a "footnote!" This is just so ridiculous that it's almost routine now for a top player to amass numbers unheard of; including rivalries that have 40-50 matches in semi's and finals! That shouldn't happen even once; now several of them exist! I've already ranted about how hard it was to even get 3 majors in a season; usually happening once a decade; '69, '74, & '88! Now we have 3 players in the same era that have at least one of those seasons, with Federer owning 3 of them back in the last decade and Nole on the verge of another! Agassi's record with Masters 1000 events was annihilated by all 3 of this eras stars as well! I just can't get over it; hence why I keep rehashing the same rant! :cover :nono  :dodgy: We were ready to anoint Sampras the GOAT years ago; even w/o a FO final on his resume! Now, there's a possibility that he will be forgotten except for having 7 Wimbledons! In the next 5 yrs, we could have 3 players over 14 majors and countless Masters/WTF's!  :eyepop

I am going wih the 4-7 range. 4 if he develops health issues. 7 if he remains healthy. I know he will fight tooth and nail for that elusive French Open title.

I am going to say this is how he will end his resume:

Australian Open: 7
French Open: 1
Wimbledon: 5
U.S. Open: 3

Does someone think seriously that Novak is going to win from now more than 5 more GS ? are you kidding me? then he would be named " the phenomenon of nature" :snicker

Nobody knows but it sounds like a pretty good guess to me. If Djokovic can go on without a serious injury during the next three years, and with the decline of Federer and Nadal along with the limits of Murray, he could win 2~3 slams a year through 2017. By then the next young guys should be challenging him. Sunday's predictions definitely could happen.

Well, I wouldn't say the decline of Nadal and either the limits of Murray who has showed that he can win GS. Sometimes things can change in a blink of an eye. I would rather to wait for a couple of more years and then we would see what is going to happen before to be so drastic about those predictions which seem to be more wishes than anything else :cover

Hey, if you can believe Rafa will come back to his old form, then it should be okay for others to believe Novak can win 5 or more slams, no?
