Raps trail by 18, win by 17 on the road against the Cavs.

Cavs have a lot of issues but I am starting to think Raps are actually getting to be a good team.

I said this 2-3 weeks ago, Lou Williams was the steal of the year. 36 points of the bench, and we got him for Salmons!

Yeah.. you called that one..

AP, the guy is unbelievable. In the last two matches, he made 3 quarter ending buzzer beater three pointers from absurd positions. I never knew this guy was such an easy scorer. Can he keep it up, it is another story.

Kobe Bryant is still a superstar? He's still a draw, sure. But a superstar? Let me ask you this A-P: If you take out Klay Thompson from GSW and put Kobe instead, are they a better team?

Spoiler: They're really, REALLY not.

Another example: Yeah, I know the Cavaliers are struggling now but most still expect them to come good and reach the Eastern Conference finals. If you take out Lebron and put Kobe on that team, are they a championship contender? Do they even have the chance to become a championship contender?

How can you be a superstar if, even with the right pieces around you, you can no longer be expected to make your team a championship contender?

Kobe is the best out of a terrible bunch right now. His team stinks, and he's still a good player who can shoot in volume and score (though his FG percentage has ranged from OK to horrendous), and at his age, that's understandable. But no, he's no longer a superstar as far as playing abilities go, and I don't have any sympathy for him. He wants to get paid, I can respect that, but then, you deal with the consequences of your team not being able to get anyone good to play with you.

Darth, No :basiate for Kobe and the scrubs beating the Rockets in Houston.. Can you believe I saw Kobe pass the ball over 8 times ,, he has some great athletic moves in that game

I was shocked until I saw the box score and noticed big Dwight didn't play. Without him that's a mediocre squad. I'm sure you heard that some porn star would blow the entire Laker team if they get 47 wins this year. I don't think she's readying that mouth yet :)

Well, if Kobe gets a hold of her, she might not have a choice.

Yes, shots fired ;)

Jamal Crawford is a very good streaky shooter.. much more reliable than Cali's current man crush JR Smith. However, there is a reason Jamal has been a journeyman basketball player.. he plays no defense and pretty much disappears when the pressure gets tight. Ask Darth or KS, they remember when he was a the Bulls team(the Eddie Curry\Jerry Krause picked team), nuff said

^ Never cared much for Crawford but he is a great spark off the bench. A little too streaky and just a scorer but off the bench the positives outweigh the negatives.

Bron is playing awful so far for his standards. I think he is a little passive but perhaps he is doing that to try to let the team gel more. The only major surprise out East is Toronto. They've developed more than I thought, I knew the Wizards are legit but wasn't sure if Toronto would improve much this year. Still too early when we are talking 82 game season.

No sympathy for LBJ.. he has two NBA team divorces and remarriage.. He doesnt seems to be so great without Dwade

Yeah, I remember Crawford. Extremely streaky. Unreliable when it really mattered. And a little injury prone probably because of his size.

The thing is, in the East, you have Miami who is adjusting to life without Bron, Indiana that is trying to adjust to life without George and Stephenson, Cavs who are trying to figure each other out, Bulls that are strong but just do not know when they have Rose or not...In all of these, Raps are playing with the same starting five from last year with an improved bench.

They should milk it as much as they can I say...:clap

Miami and Indy are non factors. Indy will be 7th seed at best and Heat 5th at best. The question is how long will the Cavs continue to stink. It could be through December but I doubt any longer than that, good opportunity for others to distance themselves.

AP, what do you make of Thib's words last night regarding Rose playing more? Heard the interview and it seemed pretty pointed, wonder if even he is getting fed up by Rose's injuries and rest time...

I'm starting to wonder if D-Rose is a little soft. I love the guy, and yeah, he's very unlucky with injuries, but he seems unwilling to play through the mildest of discomforts.

MY thoughts are is that Tib's may be a bit frustrated with Drose not always being available to play. I think that the last few years has shattered Derrick's confidence to play the game of basketball the way that he knows he can. Drose just doesnt trust his body at this point. I think he is still a young man and he has to give it time. Folks like Jordan are very special as far as rebounding from injuries rather swiftly. I think its most important to have a healty and confident Drose in April, May and June instead of the November through March. Derrick is something very special, may not to the level of Jordan or Kobe but posible Dwade. Give Derick time.. Coach Tibs needs to focus on resting his players, developing a bench and learn how to be a more offensive attack system if he wants to win a championship.

Don't be too hard on Drose.. Injuries take a while to heal. give him a couple of years and he will be back to where he needs to be to be an every night basketball player.

^ That dude is softer than the softest baby's ass. I don't see any end in sight for this, I just think he is scared to play all out at this point and probably fears a full season. It is sad but it's up to him to man up ultimately. And when reinjuring yourself is always in the back of your mind it will affect your game on the floor as well.
