You are correct that they've never repeated as champs. But they've often started slow the past few years and then go on a tear in the 2nd half of the year.

Golden State is entertaining but no team with mediocre defense that relies so heavily on the jump shot is going to win a title. Right now they are a spoiler, a dangerous team that could knock a real contender out.

I don't know that they are so mediocre, I watched 2 of their games and they looked solid on the defensive end, I think that Kerr is going to press the importance of that. But they are not as good as they are in shooting the ball.

^ Without knowing anything else (how much time is left, is the team down 2 or 3 points, etc.) it might be Kobe for this generation. As far as who I'd want taking the shot from when I started watching it is MJ and Reggie Miller in a class of their own.

Bulls-Raps very enjoyable match. Drose, when he puts the jets on, is just ...fast...Gasol had an amazing half, and James Johnson too. Always extra incentive to play against the old team I guess.

It was an interesting game.. Drose did tweak hamstring.. he should be ok.. I think Drose needs to change his strength and conditioning coach. he just needs to get stretch out more and a lot of yoga type of exercises henceforth

Bulls are the team in the east. They played play off basketball in the 3rd quarter and sealed it. Raps have a long way to go.

^ I've known who he is since his days at Marquette. The Bulls chances vs. Lebron are going to be more dependent on Rose and Gasol IMO. Gasol still has a lot of game left and that was a huge pickup for them. Rose seems destined to go the route of Grant Hill sadly.

^Gasol was a beast yesterday. Being able to finish with both hands around the basket , coupled with his size , makes him so hard to defend.

The combination of Butler and Gibson will cause match upi problems in addition the offensive presence of Rose and Gasol. Drose has to stay healthy, if not its gonna be the same ole same ole, LBJ vs the Spurs

They will still need some offense and that's where Gasol is a huge improvement. Boozer just didn't pan out and was too weak defensively. Gasol is still very good all around. Butler and Gibson are good role players. It still mostly falls on Rose to play at his old level and I don't see that happening.

^ No kidding AP, even then the team would still suck IMO. Carmelo going to LA would never work with Kobe there. Kobe will suffer through a 20-62 season or thereabouts but he will score his 30 on 25 shots because there is literally nothing else on that team.

Poor Bucks fell just short against Jordan's squad. Hoping to catch the game Friday, might go to it even.

Darth.. he has been gone from the game for more than a season.. give him time to get his "legs" under him.. All great shooters % began the year slowly.. give him time.
