Lou Williams has a bit of Jamal Crawford in him. I like that.

Jamal Crawford is a very good streaky shooter.. much more reliable than Cali's current man crush JR Smith. However, there is a reason Jamal has been a journeyman basketball player.. he plays no defense and pretty much disappears when the pressure gets tight. Ask Darth or KS, they remember when he was a the Bulls team(the Eddie Curry\Jerry Krause picked team), nuff said

JR and Crawford are both great players. JR at his best is much better, but I still don't understand to this day how people can say that Crawford plays "no defense". It is such a mindless cliche. Chris Paul can get burned off the dribble 15 times, but that's okay so long as he sticks his chest out as he dribbles and barks out plays.

It's much more accurate to say that DeAndre Jordan "plays no offense" than to say Crawford "plays no defense". It is so frustrating how offense is constantly demeaned by people.

you are such a jackass! everyone knows that Crawford is isn't even an average defender, I have watched him since he was in college and his parade of teams, yet your stupid Ass wants to call me mindless

Kevin Durant is back tonight. Freaking finally.

27 points for KD in his first game back. Not enough for OKC but a good start for the guy, no?

Yeah he didn't look too rusty. Russ was disappointing after looking so sharp against the Knicks. Then again maybe he looked so sharp because he was playing the Knicks. The problem for OKC is there's no more margin for error. They need to go on a big winning streak now to have a chance at making the playoffs.

I think they'll get in. At 5-13 they probably need to go 42-22 to get in. 47 wins, even in the West, probably gets them in. That's a 54 win pace at the beginning of the year which is very doable for them. One thing they can't afford...more injuries to those 2. Then they'd be cooked.

It's ironic when he talks about people "demeaning" offense when he literally doesn't factor in any other part of basketball aside from scoring ability. Passing, rebounding, defense, leadership...forget about it, that doesn't matter :nono

Add to that list steals, turnovers, assists and clock and floor management (which could fall under leadership).

This is a fun game, Curry vs. the Brow. Two young guns that like to score. :clap

That brow is amazing and so is it's owner :) I think AD will be the best player in the league within the next 3 or 4 years. That guy is awesome...now he just needs a team around him.

He's gotten so much better since he came into the league. Didn't get gobbled up his rookie year. He definitely needs a team around him. Hopefully they'll get him the appropriate support.

Anthony Davis could legit turn into an all time great as far as PF's go. Not necessarily McHale or Tim Duncan level, but I don't see why he can't be close to say, Charles Barkley or KG level, and definitely over C-Web.

And yeah, I agree he'll soon be among the best 3 players in the world. I already think he's the best power forward in the league. He can do it all.

I have watched Crawford over the years as well. And I don't see any justification for saying that he is so bad on defense. Yes, he has had lapses, but everyone does, and the complaints about his defensive lapses seem to have much more to do with the contempt people have for his shot selection than it does with actually assessing his defense. They don't like his attitude in looking for his shot, so they try to pick at his flaws more than they would anyone else.

But AP - why don't you explain in detail why Crawford is actually a bad defender? Last year after he won the 6th Man Award Doc Rivers actually complimented his defense and said that based on reputation before coaching Crawford he didn't know how good he actually was on defense.

Shocker!

I would be very shocked that Doc said that but he is a player's coach.

Cali, Let's talk about a real talent , Kobe Bean Bryant, have anyone notice how he has altered his game with this current cast of nobodies, the Lakers beat the Spurs last night. Kobe had a rough night shooting the rock but his abilities to get Jordan Hill and God help us all, Carlos Boozer into the mix by his excellent pass /assistance was almost at the level of LBJ was a real treat last night. Darth doesn't give him credit but I have known for the past 15 years I am in the minority, a NBA fan who appreciate Kobe's ability to brilliantly still be able to determine the outcome of a game.

I watched the game last night AP. Great shooting from Nick Young and just a blah game from San Antonio in the regular season. Kobe was mediocre. And the news of him going nuts at practice (when he apparently almost never practices) is ridiculous. The guy has no room to talk when he almost never practices anymore, and he has no room to complain about them not getting enough talent around him when he took a monster contract that his play no longer warrants.

Not really a huge deal to win against the Spurs right now. They coast along the first 35 games or so and then kick it in gear Jan-Mar.

There were a few good games on last night. Portland at the Bulls was excellent. Rose and Lilliard going back & forth. The Brow complained of breathing problems so they took him out of the game for observation, Pelicans would beat Cavs anyway. Hornets/Grizz went into double OT, w/ Grizz finally winning it. Russ went off in Minny.

I saw the Portland vs Bulls game, the shooting was tremendous by both teams.Hubbie Brown analysis was spot on as usual.. as for Darth's comments about Kobe, I will Never win that battle but what he said at practice is rated G compared to what Jordan's practices with the Bulls were like, really all practice is very similar. Take a looksie.

AP, you know I know what guys in the NBA are like, especially superstars like Kobe (well, former superstar in his case). We've all heard about geriatric Jordan making Kwame Brown cry or punching Steve Kerr in practice. I wouldn't have much of a problem with this aside from the fact that Kobe is hardly ever there apparently. I just don't get why he isn't practicing. Kobe is part of this poor team whether he likes it or not, and his play has been poor too so maybe he should be practicing if he wants to talk all that crap. I know he is trying to light a fire under them but at the same time he is clearly annoyed by the lack of talent behind him yet he felt the need to take a monster contract when he is no longer a big time player...

Kobe isn't practicing because he is trying to limit the amount of pounding on his injury recovery body. I don't have a problem with that and most NBA veterans follow that schedule
