I just hope Fed's back pain doesn't kick in at any point, it would be a real shame. He played a very high level match today. I like what I see from him.

Is it bothering him recently? I thought he is fit and fine.

No, he is fine right now, but who knows really. He had back pain when he was 24, and I doubt that it is better now, almost 10 years later.

I played and taught for 30 years; which is nothing compared to what pros have to go through! I was just showing someone how much stress is put on the back of tennis players even at the ready of points! You're leaning forward on your toes, then bouncing up and down! I couldn't believe how much it put on strain on the back after all these years of inactivity! In the last years I was taking an Advil before going on court for my elbow; probably helped with the back as well! :p

Somehow, I think JJ v Kei will be a barnstormer. Somebody mentioned that Kei cam go to Wimbo as #4 seed if he wins Halle. It would be harsh on Stan, but those are the vagaries of the ranking system...

4-4 now and Berd just had a plethora of BPs. Will he lose focus and his serve now?

I thought it was over. Too many blown chances. He's lucky to be in this still.

Karlovic wins. Served 45 aces. Unbelievable. Welcome to the grass court season.

Wow! A total of 34 games played, so out of his 17 serving games, he racked up 11 games worth of aces :nono

Stupid Birdie

How is that stupid? Hard to win when you have aces raining down on you. This is what happens in grass court tennis.

Birdie is N°4 he's much younger than Dr Ivo, he should have won, it's a poor performance from Birdie, I'm very disapointed

Berdych is No. 6, Karlovic is No. 27. Karlovic is 6 years older than Berdych but leads in their H2H 5-3 now. And they played on grass.
