Hey, Front, thanks a lot for those DB videos. Very nice compilation. Hope he gets Murray in R1 at Wimbledon!

Saw Federer match... rust all over the place, but at least the serve is decent.

Thiem's play quite impressive and consistent so far! He's looking a bit better than Grigor at the same stage! Will he disappoint and destroy the sensibilities of Fedal fans if he continues this meteoric rise out of nowhere? Looks as If he's stalking Roger; exactly what the old guy doesn't need, another scalp collector! :nono  :dodgy: :cover

Yeah, I think the upset potential with Goffin is huge. I'd even call that match 50-50.

Same here. Tempted to even say 60/40 in Goffin's favour due to Fed's rust but hope Fed wins so I can actually watch one of his matches this weekend.

It's not just Fed's rust. He said to the press that he still wasn't feeling 100% but that he felt that playing was the best thing for him to fully recover. Hope we don't get a repeat of 2013 with his ailing back for most of the year.

I heard about that. But, have not actually seen that presser. That sucks.

Remember, though, that Goffin is exactly the type of player that Roger dominates: the non-spectacular, but steady guys (e.g. Ferrer, Davydenko, etc).

Goffin is what could be called a "Grade B" player. He's the type of guy that won't wow you, but he's always there, and dangerous if you are off your game at all. Similar to someone like Gilles Simon, imo.

Kudos to Fed for that first set.

Checking scores at work and was pleasantly surprised to see the score in set 1. He's in danger of losing set 2 now though. Just hoping he wins so I can watch his next match on the weekend.

Crisis aborted. Back on serve now at 5-5. Good man, Roger.

Federer v. Goffin was very entertaining. Roger looked the sharpest since returning. He had to be.

Tennis looked pretty good for the most part. He however was looking pretty rough out there, unshaven and looking more like his father than his usually coiffed self. :snicker

Kholi pulled out, Thiem in semi

Thiem needed a day's break. Sorry for Kohli.

Both Thiem and Kohli are overplaying. The only excuse Domi has that he is 10 years younger.

I don't want to see Dominic injured because od stupid scheduling.

Up until this year he wasn't regularly making it to the semis and finals. I am sure they will make adjustments for the rest of the year. :)

I think where Dom has to be careful with his scheduling is the hard court season. I find overall that clay and grass courts are much more forgiving on the body. However, he can't go signing up for 6 clay events every season. I would say 4 is enough for him. I would say Halle is going quite the opposite for him than Stuttgart where he was 3 set city. Everything in Halle has been pretty straightforward for him which was a bit lucky for him.

I am not convinced. I could see him back on clay post Wimbledon in a hurry.
