Y'all can say what you want, you know I'm right in this instance. 20 may end up 2nd rate. Best thing Fed can do is realize he needs more.
I remember when the number 14 or 17 was quite an achievement and accomplishment.

They never rank anyone based on reputation, strictly their recent resume on grass.

They don't. It is a strictly algorithmic calculation to award the bonus points for the results compiled in the last 2 years.

So if Nadal is ranked 125 he could be a first round opponent :D

I think that paper vulnerable to be burned by in form Ebden. Matt reached his career high recently and looked very solid in the first giving a bagel to Malek. This oz guy can disrupt Kohl's campaign in the next round. And he would deserve it, as he's a very nice, eloquent guy (a break from the recent breed of brats TA & Craig Tiley feel ashamed of) so I wish him all the best.
BTW: anyone knows what (SE) at Matt's name in the draw stands for?
Ha, I predicted it!
Matt just closed the match with Kohl, in impressive style 6-2 in third. One of the better wins of his career! Now, comes the biggest test ever in the form of #1 Fed on grass! You couldn't ask for anything bigger than that!
Do you guys think the draw just "opened" for Fed because the most dangerous opponent (Kohl) according to our local fedexp Darth, has been eliminated? Think twice! Ebden looks to be the most dangerous OZ player ATM. If he throws everything he's got on Fed, and he's lucky at the same time, he's able to cause an upset of his life!
EDIT: Sorry, I jumped ahead: Fed must win with Paire first, but we can assume it as highly probable, otherwise I'd be highly disappointed that such opportunity for Ebden be missed...

^I'm not sure in what world Kohlschreiber was ever a threat to Federer. Certainly not in this world

I think as crazy as it was, Kohl figured to be the biggest threat in that half. As long as Fed doesn't wet the bed he isn't losing here, that goes without saying.

I agree. With 0-13 H2H record, he's not a big thread. I was just quoting Darth who said so. And indeed, looking at the ranking, Kohl was the only seeded opponent left in the top draw (until a moment ago), so we could say he was relatively the most dangerous. Now, looking at the whole draw in anticipation of #99 title, we see all seeded opponents eliminated (!) except RBA. Thiem, Nishi, Zverev: all gone! Would you imagine that beforehand? Monfed, will you keep saying how always unlucky Fed is with his draws, as opposed to Dull? This draw completely contradicts you.
Regardless all that our talk, I think Ebden is far more dangerous than on paper, so I would not call this campaign "easy" for the Master yet.,

The motto for Roger is X number of slams is nothing if twat hits X or more. Roger hasn't won enough at all. His career will go down as an underachieving one if island boy equals or passes him.

Even if Federer wins the slam counts 20-17 , I think he has significantly underachieved in his career.

He should've been at 24-25 by now.

Am I missing something? If Roger wins Wimbledon won't he be on 21?

Fed's draw has cleared up in Halle. This is good for him because it will help him save more energy for Wimbledon if he takes care of business even though he would've most probably won had Zverev etc would've been there but cost him more energy.

That being said Coric could drain him if he's off his game as he's a mini Djoker. Never know with Fed at this age which version will show up.

It's not his best surface, but he's a streaky player. If he can put together a couple of good matches his confidence grows. With a game like his, he could be effective on any surface if he serves halfway decent.
