If he's hurt he's screwed. If he's healthy it's about whether he can bring his best game after a special ed Fed week.

Agreed but you have to factor in the issue that those courts are bouncy , gritty which Fed finds very hard to penetrate even though the schedule is manageable.

But yes no doubt that loss to Delmugtro was truly awful and one of the worst MS1000 losses of his career which also ruined Miami.

One point costing so much :negative:
Federer has choked some really important matches against JMDP

How can that be true if he lost the next match in Miami, where he was defending 1000 points. Was he that many points ahead of Rafa going into Miami?

Nadal led by 100 points after the clay season and defended all his points on clay(4680) , so if Federer won that match he would've led the rankings from Rotterdam till Halle

Feddies, I request you all to kindly stop talking about YE#1 at least until he wins another slam this year. The relevant point situation can be found in the race rankings and not regular rankings. You all forget that Rafa accumulated tons of points on the dirt. As a result, Federer is 1380 point below Rafa right now. That is not a chunk change.

He's fine after a long break, but this week and the way he looked in that awful Miami loss makes me think he should not be doing back to back tournaments again. The main thing is not getting hurt, and the fact of the matter is his risk of doing that is much greater by possibly overplaying, especially when he is getting moved around so much when he plays poorly.

I'm still not entirely sure he is 100%, he looked like he was 46 years old for much of the week and even yesterday the movement looked hampered.
Just like his boy Brady in the Bowl. :lulz2:

I think you meant "before" the clay season that Nadal led by 100 points. I had to go back, but I see that you are right...if he'd won IW he'd have gained an additional 400 points, and, as tight as they are, that would have been enough to take him at least to Halle. Oh, well, eh?
